Redmi A7 could be gearing up for launch soon, as the smartphone has now secured certification from Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). The handset is expected to debut alongside the Redmi A7 Pro in the near future. Redmi A7 Pro was recently spotted on the website of the UAE’s Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA). Here’s what we know so far.
The upcoming Redmi A7 has appeared on the NBTC certification site carrying model number 26020RNB4A and certificate number B38097-26. The listing confirms the official moniker of the device and reveals support for GSM, WCDMA, and LTE networks. This indicates that the handset is unlikely to offer 5G connectivity.

According to the NBTC database, the Redmi A7 is manufactured in China. While the certification does not disclose detailed hardware specifications, its appearance strongly suggests that the launch could happen soon.
The Redmi A7 is rumoured to be identical to the Poco C81 Pro, which was recently listed on the NBTC website with model number 25128PC17G and certification number B38077-26. The upcoming Redmi handset is also expected to bring upgrades over the Redmi A5.
In terms of specifications, the Redmi A7 is tipped to arrive as a budget smartphone featuring a large 6.9-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, it could run on the Unisoc T7250 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The device is also rumoured to pack a sizeable 6,000mAh battery with support for 15W charging.
The NBTC listing for the Redmi A7 surfaces just days after the Redmi A7 Pro was seen on multiple certification platforms including TDRA, FCC, NBTC, and Indonesia’s SDPPI database.
