Google has launched AI Mode with restaurant booking in India. Now, it does more than just provide information. It helps you complete real-world tasks. With this new feature, you simply describe your dining needs, such as cuisine, location, date, time, and number of guests, and AI Mode handles the rest.

Instead of searching through different apps or websites, the AI checks platforms like Zomato, Swiggy, and EazyDiner in real time to find available tables and gives you selected booking options.

Makes AI Mode Truly “Agentic”?

Unlike older AI assistants that only offer suggestions, Google’s AI Mode can take action for you. It understands complex requests and can find and start reservations across different platforms.

For example, you can type a request in natural language, like: “Book a table for four at a rooftop restaurant tomorrow evening serving Italian food”. The AI processes your preferences, checks availability on partner services, and gives you ready-to-book options, making decisions easier. It brings together data from several reservation platforms and understands what you want.

  • It searches across partner platforms in real time
  • It filters results based on your preferences
  • It provides a direct booking path. This means you don’t have to switch between apps, making booking faster and easier.

Samsung is taking a big step to improve smartphone security by launching its advanced AI scam detection feature worldwide. First seen in the Galaxy S26 series, this protection will soon be available on new devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8, giving users more safety.

A Smarter Way to Fight Scams

Samsung worked with Google to create this feature, using Gemini AI technology to spot scam calls and messages as they happen. The AI on your device looks for warning signs like urgent payment requests, gift cards, or requests for personal information.

If the system finds a possible scam, it sends instant alerts like “Likely scam”, along with a vibration or on-screen message. This helps users respond quickly and stay safe.

Global Rollout

Previously, this AI scam detection was only available to English-speaking users in the United States. Now, Samsung is preparing to launch it in more countries and on more devices, including the latest foldable phones.

By expanding this feature, Samsung shows it wants AI security to be standard for everyone, not just a special or limited option.

How It Works

The system uses AI directly on your device, so your conversations are checked locally and not sent to the cloud. This protects your privacy and lets the feature work in real time. The AI looks for scam-like behaviour and warns you right away, without interrupting what you’re doing.

The feature mostly checks calls from unknown numbers, where scams are more likely. You also need to turn it on yourself, so you have full control over your privacy.

Why This Matters for Users

Scams are becoming more advanced and sometimes even use AI. This feature gives real benefits, like immediate alerts during suspicious calls or messages and improved privacy, since your data stays secure on your device.

Reduced financial risk: Early warnings can help prevent you from losing money to fraud.

Peace of mind: This feature is especially helpful for older adults and people who are not comfortable with technology.
