Multiple sources have been speculating about Oppo’s upcoming Reno 13 series, which is expected to include the Reno 13 and Reno 13 Pro models.
As of now, the launch in China is expected to be on November 25.
However, before Oppo confirms, recent leaks reveal some key details about the upcoming smartphone lineup.
Recent leaks from popular tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo supposedly reveal new information about the high-end Reno 13 Pro.
While the tip didn’t directly name the device, many media reports inferred that it is most likely about the Reno 13 Pro. Here’s what we know based on the recent leaks.
According to the Digital Chat Station post, the Reno 13 Pro will likely run on MediaTek’s unreleased Dimensity 8350 processor.
Earlier rumours hinted at the Dimensity 9300, but this latest update points to a different choice.
This processor would be a slight downgrade from the Dimensity 9200+ used in the Reno 12 Pro’s Chinese version. As for memory, the highest configuration might offer 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
The Reno 13 Pro is expected to feature a large quad-curved 6.83-inch display.
The camera setup should stay similar to the Reno 12 Pro, with a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide, a 50MP telephoto lens on the back and a 50MP front camera.
Additional details shared in the post include mentions of a metal middle frame and stronger IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
This would be an improvement compared to the Reno 12 Pro’s IP65 rating.
Wireless charging support is also expected, a feature that was missing from last year’s model.
However, the tipster isn’t certain if these specs will be in the final retail version.
In a separate Gizmochina report, it’s claimed that Digital Chat Station also mentioned a new camera design with the Pro model featuring a matrix-style camera arrangement on the top-left.
The standard Reno 13 could have a dual vertical camera setup, while the Pro might go with a triple camera arrangement and a centred punch-hole quad-curved display.
The Pro model is expected to include significant camera upgrades and new design elements with purple as a standout colour option.
