OnePlus 16’s new official-looking hands-on images have surfaced online. The images offer a closer look at the phone’s design and reveal a new white colour option that was not among the colours previously teased by OnePlus. Here’s more on what we know based on the new images.
OnePlus 16 White Colour Hands-On Image Surface
The new images suggest that the OnePlus 16 will retain a familiar design language from the OnePlus 15 including a large rear camera module and a flat frame. At the same time, the white finish and subtle texture on the rear panel give the phone a slightly different look.

The phone has a chunky, rounded-square camera island on the back with what appears to be three rear cameras and an LED flash. Two large camera rings are clearly visible in the surfaced images.
The smartphone can also be seen with a flat metal frame, giving it a more boxy flagship appearance. The newly spotted white finish features a subtle textured pattern on the rear panel. This is notable as OnePlus had previously confirmed three colour options for the phone in China.
The company’s customisable AI key is also visible in the new images. The phone appears to have slim bezels around the display, while the front features a flat screen with a centre-aligned punch-hole camera.
Overall, the OnePlus 16 appears to retain the familiar design approach of its predecessor while adding a new white finish to the lineup.
OnePlus 16 – What Else We Know So Far?
According to earlier official teasers, the OnePlus 16 will be available in three colour options in China. These include Dark Forest with a black finish, Mars Masterpiece with a light orange finish, and Tomorrow Starlight in grey.
OnePlus is expected to offer the flagship in four RAM and storage configurations in China. These include 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, 12GB RAM with 512GB storage, 16GB RAM with 512GB storage, and a top-end 16GB RAM with 1TB storage.
OnePlus has already confirmed that the OnePlus 16 will support a system-wide 165Hz refresh rate. The company has not revealed all the hardware specifications yet, but previous leaks suggest that the phone could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. The phone has also reportedly appeared on AnTuTu V12, where it scored 5,384,433 points. The reported score includes 1,458,283 points in the CPU test, 2,010,584 points in the GPU test, 766,362 points in the memory test, and 1,149,204 points in the UX test.
OnePlus has confirmed a 200-megapixel HPE primary camera for the OnePlus 16, along with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with OIS and 3X optical zoom.
The flagship OnePlus smartphone will also introduce the LUMO Imaging system. It will include features such as the LUMO Color Palette and Open Gate support. For video recording, the phone is expected to support up to 4K at 120fps, along with Dolby Vision and LOG recording. OnePlus is also adding new camera modes including Master Mode for film-like control over light and shadows, High-Resolution Mode for improved detail and a 65:24 Wide-Field Mode aimed at delivering a cinematic aspect ratio.
Other rumoured specifications include a 6.78-inch AMOLED display and a large 9,000mAh battery.
OnePlus 16 Launch Timeline
OnePlus has not announced the official launch date of the OnePlus 16 yet. However, the company has already started revealing key details about the flagship and has opened pre-reservations in China. Some reports have claimed the flagship smartphone will most likely arrived by the end of October 2026.
