Wide foldable phones are becoming an emerging trend in the smartphone market. HUAWEI previously introduced the Pura X Max in this form factor, followed by Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Xiaomi 18 Fold and ultimately, Apple’s iPhone Duo. Now, it appears OPPO Find N7 will soon be joining the bandwagon as rumours about this next foldable are now gaining traction online.

OPPO Find N7 To Take on iPhone Duo

OPPO appears to be preparing its next major foldable smartphone, the OPPO Find N7. A new tip suggests that the upcoming foldable could emerge as a major rival to Apple’s iPhone Duo, which has entered the wide-folding phone segment.

In a post on X, Yogesh Brar @heyitsyogesh said, “iPhone Duo’s biggest rival is coming soon. OPPO Find N7 will end Duo’s dominance in just a few months. Apple gets the head start. But for how long?”

The post does not reveal any new specifications of the OPPO Find N7 but it suggests that OPPO’s foldable will rival Apple’s first folding device. Previous leaks have already provided an early look at what OPPO may have planned for the Find N7.

OPPO Find N7 Could Feature Wide Foldable Design

OPPO is also reportedly preparing a wide-format foldable with the OPPO Find N7. According to earlier information shared by Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the device could feature a 7.6-inch inner display along with a 5.5-inch cover screen.

The displays could be supplied by Samsung Display or BOE and OPPO is also expected to use its latest seamless hinge technology. The company has already used a seamless hinge design on the Find N6, which helped make the crease on the foldable nearly imperceptible.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and 6,500mAh battery

The OPPO Find N7 is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series processor built using a 2nm process. However, details about the phone’s RAM, storage configurations and camera setup are not known yet. Its specifications could otherwise be similar to those of the OPPO Find N6.

Battery capacity could be another major focus of the upcoming foldable. OPPO is reportedly testing a 6,500mAh battery for the Find N7, suggesting that battery life could become an important part of the competition alongside the race to make foldable phones thinner.

OPPO Testing Two Camera Designs

Previous leaks have also suggested that Find N7’s rear camera design is currently under consideration. OPPO is reportedly testing two different designs internally.

One prototype is said to retain the company’s familiar circular camera module, while another reportedly uses a horizontal camera layout. The latter is said to be similar to the design being considered for the iPhone Duo.

It remains unclear which of these designs will make it to the final retail version of the Find N7.

Tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo have already hinted that the OPPO Find N7 could launch in the first quarter of 2027.

Notably, OPPO has yet to officially announce the Find N7 or confirm its specifications. More details are expected to emerge as the reported 2027 launch window approaches.
