Netflix will Charge $7-$9 for advertising – Supported Popular Plan in a Bid to Attract Customers: According to a Report

Currently, Netflix’s plan for watching content without advertisements cost is $15.49 (approximately Rs. 1,230) per month. The lower monthly fee is intended to attract more customers who are willing to see some advertising in exchange for a lower monthly fee. The streaming service claims to sell four minutes of ads per hour for the ad-supported service.

Netflix is considering charging $7 to $9 (approximately Rs. 550 to Rs. 700) per month for its new advertising-supported tier, which is half the price of its most popular plan. Netflix’s plan for watching content without advertisements currently costs $15.49 (approximately Rs. 1,230) per month.

Details on Netflix’s popular Ad-Supported Plan

According to a recent Bloomberg report, the world’s largest streaming service, Netflix, is considering lowering the price of its ad-supported tier. Because of the low rates, the ad-supported plan may cost between $7 and $9 per month.

Remember, this is still less than half of what Netflix now charges for its most popular plan, which is $15.49 per month without ads.

The goal of the price reduction is to simply attract new customers to the service who don’t mind watching some advertising by paying less to watch the content.

As previously stated, Netflix anticipates selling approximately four minutes of advertisements for each hour of ad-supported service. According to reports, commercials are shown before and during certain programs, but not after.

Netflix, like its rival Disney+, is likely aiming to keep kids’ content ad-free and not run commercials during kid-friendly movies and TV shows, as stated by Disney+ in May of this year.

According to TechCrunch, Netflix’s kids’ content will continue to be commercial-free. Original shows such as “Stranger Things,” “Bridgerton,” and “Squid Game” are expected to continue to feature advertisements.

The American Psychological Association and other organizations have urged that children’s advertising be severely restricted. According to analysts, Netflix generates $4 billion in ad sales per year, making it one of the major players in internet video advertising.
