Honor has quietly introduced a new budget 5G smartphone, the Honor X6d, in the UAE. The device expands the brand’s affordable lineup shortly after the launch of the Honor Play 60A in China last year. The newly announced Honor X6d shares several similarities with the Play 60A while targeting cost-conscious buyers in the United Arab Emirates. Here’s more about the new phone.
Honor has listed the X6d on its UAE store at a price of AED 509. This would roughly amount to around $138, €116, and ₹12,555. The smartphone is available in two colour options, which are Midnight Black and Ocean Cyan.
As of now, there is no indication that the Honor X6d will be launched in markets such as the United States.
The Honor X6d features a simple, minimalist design and offers 5G connectivity. On the front, it sports a 6.75-inch LCD display with a 720+ resolution, catering to everyday multimedia and browsing needs.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. Built on a 6nm process, the entry-level processor enables 5G support while focusing on power efficiency. The company has paired the SoC with 4GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. However, the storage is not expandable.
In terms of optics, the Honor X6d comes equipped with a 50MP primary rear camera. The main sensor is capable of recording Full HD videos at 30 frames per second. For selfies and video calls, the handset includes a 5MP front-facing camera.
On the software side, the device runs Android 15-based MagicOS out of the box. Honor has not confirmed whether the phone will receive the upcoming Android 16 update. Additionally, the official UAE listing does not mention the presence of a fingerprint sensor. It is unlikely that the handset includes this feature for biometric security.
The Honor X6d is backed by a 5,260mAh battery, slightly smaller than the 5,300mAh unit found on the Honor Play 60A. The battery is expected to comfortably handle day-to-day usage.
Connectivity options on the device include dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other standard features.
