Details on Netflix’s popular Ad-Supported Plan

According to a recent Bloomberg report, the world’s largest streaming service, Netflix, is considering lowering the price of its ad-supported tier. Because of the low rates, the ad-supported plan may cost between $7 and $9 per month.

Remember, this is still less than half of what Netflix now charges for its most popular plan, which is $15.49 per month without ads.

The goal of the price reduction is to simply attract new customers to the service who don’t mind watching some advertising by paying less to watch the content.

Netflix popular Ad-Supported Plan

As previously stated, Netflix anticipates selling approximately four minutes of advertisements for each hour of ad-supported service. According to reports, commercials are shown before and during certain programs, but not after.

Netflix, like its rival Disney+, is likely aiming to keep kids’ content ad-free and not run commercials during kid-friendly movies and TV shows, as stated by Disney+ in May of this year.

According to TechCrunch, Netflix’s kids’ content will continue to be commercial-free. Original shows such as “Stranger Things,” “Bridgerton,” and “Squid Game” are expected to continue to feature advertisements.

The American Psychological Association and other organizations have urged that children’s advertising be severely restricted. According to analysts, Netflix generates $4 billion in ad sales per year, making it one of the major players in internet video advertising.
