OnePlus is reportedly working on its next-generation Ace 7 series smartphones for the Chinese market. The latest details come from tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, who shared the alleged specifications of the OnePlus Ace 7 and OnePlus Ace 7 Pro. While the leak does not reveal an exact launch date, the new Ace 7 series is expected to make its debut in the fourth quarter of this year. Here’s what we know so far.

OnePlus Ace 7 – Expected Specifications

According to the leak, the OnePlus Ace 7 could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The octa-core processor is said to be based on a 3nm manufacturing process and may offer clock speeds ranging from 3.63GHz to 4.61GHz. The smartphone is also tipped to include an active cooling fan, while the top-end variant could feature 16GB of RAM.

The handset is expected to sport a 6.78-inch LTPS OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. It is also said to support an adaptive refresh rate between 185Hz and 240Hz, allowing the display to adjust automatically based on usage and gaming requirements.

Battery life could be one of the biggest highlights of the OnePlus Ace 7. The smartphone is tipped to pack a battery larger than 9,000mAh with some reports suggesting it could reach 10,000mAh. To charge the large battery, the device may support 100W or 120W fast charging.

For photography, the OnePlus Ace 7 is expected to feature a dual rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor along with a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.

OnePlus Ace 7 Pro – Expected Specifications

The OnePlus Ace 7 Pro is tipped to arrive as the more premium model in the lineup. It is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 processor, which has not yet been officially announced. According to the leak, the chipset could be built using a 2nm process and may deliver clock speeds of up to 5GHz.

The smartphone is also expected to feature a 6.82-inch 2K curved OLED display using a BOE X2 panel. The display is said to offer a 120Hz refresh rate along with very high brightness levels.

On the battery front, the OnePlus Ace 7 Pro is tipped to pack either a 6,500mAh or 7,000mAh battery. It could support 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging with the latter expected to remain exclusive to the Pro model.

For cameras, the OnePlus Ace 7 Pro is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel Sony LYT808 primary sensor, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.

Since OnePlus has not officially confirmed the Ace 7 series or its specifications, all of the above details should be treated as leaks for now. More information is expected to surface closer to the smartphones’ anticipated launch later this year.

iQOO 15R Review After 6 Months – Is It Worth Buying?

0

Highlights

  • iQOO 15R is available at the starting price of ₹54,999 for the base 12GB and 256GB variant.
  • It has two colour options named Dark Night and Triumph Silver.
  • Key features – 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED EyeCare Display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, 144 FPS Supercomputing Chip Q2, 4 + 6 Years of Software Updates, Sony LYT-700V OIS Camera and 7600mAh Silicon Anode Battery with 100W FlashCharge.

iQOO 15R was launched globally back in February 2026. Since then the smartphone market has been through repeated pricing shocks across brands. The constant increase in prices has made buyers think twice before deciding on their next smartphone upgrade. The question is, where does the iQOO 15R stand in the real world almost 6 months after it was launched? The model itself has had its share of price revisions as well, so is it worth buying iQOO 15R today? To answer this, here’s our hands-on experience after 6 months.

Design, Build and In-Hand Feel

To start with, let’s talk about the design. We have used the smartphone as our primary smartphone for long enough to say that one thing that stands out is its compact size and clean design.

The design is perfect as iQOO has not tried too hard to grab attention, which works in its favour when you are using it every day for a long time. Even after weeks of use, it still feels fresh and doesn’t become boring. We used the India exclusive Triumph Silver colour, which has tiny patterns across the rear panel. These look distinctive but without making it feel flashy. The camera module is also neat and doesn’t dominate the overall look. Although, the phone does wobble slightly when placed on a flat surface.

Its compact size makes it easy to handle and one-handed operation is effortless for most tasks. Despite packing a larger 7,600mAh battery, iQOO 15R weighs 202 grams and feels quite light in every day use. The weight distribution is balanced so it never feels top-heavy or uncomfortable.

The build quality is equally impressive. The phone features a metal frame with a matte finish that resists fingerprint smudges well. It helps in maintaining a clean appearance during daily use.

The phone comes with both IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering protection against dust, water immersion of up to one metre and even high-pressure water jets for up to 30 seconds. The Wet Finger Screen Control is a relief and you can make calls, capture photos and even play games with wet or sweaty fingers worry-free. It’s a practical feature that proved useful on more than one occasion during our testing.

Display and Multimedia Experience

iQOO 15R has a 6.59-inch 1.5K LTPS AMOLED display and it may not sound huge on paper but in practical every day use, we found this size to be perfect. It comes with a resolution of 2750×1260 pixels and a 19.64:9 aspect ratio. You choose between Full HD (1080p) and 1.5K resolution, which balances visual quality and battery life based on your preference.

It is an AMOLED panel, so it delivers when it comes to picture quality. The vibrant colours, deep blacks, and good contrast make a lot of difference. There is also a Visual Enhancement feature to boost colour and contrast in supported content. It makes photos and videos appear more vivid. The slim bezels help make the viewing experience more immersive. It makes a huge difference in watching movies, binge-watching web series or simply browsing the web.

Moreover, it supports HDR10+ and the feature works on popular streaming platforms such as YouTube and Netflix. HDR content looks richer with improved highlights and better contrast, making multimedia consumption more enjoyable.

The display supports a 144Hz refresh rate along with a 360Hz touch sampling rate and up to 3200Hz instant touch sampling rate. The high refresh rate makes every day interactions with the phone feel a lot smoother. Scrolling through social media, switching between apps, or gaming, animations remain fluid and responsive. The fast touch response also gave the phone an edge during fast-paced games.

Hardware, Performance and Gaming

Let’s dive right in and talk about performance. iQOO 15R is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and after using it for a considerable amount of time, it’s safe to say performance is one of the phone’s biggest strengths. The processor uses a 2+6 all-big core architecture with two Oryon Prime cores clocked at up to 3.8GHz and six Oryon Performance cores running at up to 3.32GHz. It’s built on TSMC’s efficient 3nm process and gives a 36 percent performance boost over the previous generation.

In day-to-day use, the phone doesn’t slow down. Whether it was handling multiple apps, editing photos, watching videos or browsing through social media, the device remains smooth and responsive. Even after weeks of regular use, we didn’t notice any lag or slowdowns. Apps stayed in memory well and multitasking is effortless.

The iQOO 15R also posted impressive benchmark scores. We tested the device on all key platforms and scores are competitive with rival models. The haptic feedback is crisp and every day interactions like typing messages or gaming feel more satisfying.

Gaming is another area where the iQOO 15R performs quite well. It comes with the OP Gaming Core out of the box and the experience feels polished. We played several graphics-intensive games during our testing and didn’t come across any frame drops or noticeable stuttering. The phone also features the dedicated Q2 chip, which can enable both 1.5K Super Resolution and 144fps Super Frame Rate simultaneously in supported games. While not every game supports these features, they do make gameplay look and feel smoother where available.

Keeping a flagship processor cool isn’t easy but iQOO seems to have done a good job here. The phone packs a large 6,500mm² IceCore vapour chamber, a dual-layer graphite sheet, and a large heat dissipation area to manage temperatures. Even during long gaming sessions, the phone warmed up only slightly and never became uncomfortable to hold. More importantly, we didn’t notice any performance throttling so the gaming experience remained consistent throughout.

The phone runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6 out of the box and the overall software experience is smooth and responsive. Animations remain fluid, apps opened quickly and navigating through the interface was a pleasant experience. The new Origin Smooth Engine also keeps the UI fast and consistent even after prolonged use.

One of the biggest positives is iQOO’s improved software support. For the first time, the company is promising four major Android OS updates along with six years of security updates. This is a welcome move and makes the iQOO 15R a better long term investment.

The phone comes with a fair number of pre-installed apps. Once you get past the initial clean-up of preloaded apps, OriginOS 6 feels clean and easy to use. The interface is well-optimised and we didn’t come across any bugs, crashes, or unexpected slowdowns during our testing.

Camera Performance

Now considering the current price at which the phone is available in the market, the camera setup is underwhelming. It has a 50MP primary sensor with an 8MP ultra-wide lens on the rear and a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The main sensor on the rear is strong and capable of capturing good pictures under good lighting. The downside, however, is with the versatility of the camera setup.

The lack of a telephoto lens becomes really evident in the long term. There are obviously more versatile camera options available in the price segment. But that being said, camera setup is capable of delivering good pictures and you can rely on it for every day use. The overall image quality is more than good enough for sharing on social media or preserving every day memories.

Daylight photos appear clear with good dynamic range. Colours look natural and focus time is quick. You get some useful camera features in the camera app like AR stickers, Pro Sports mode, supermoon, long exposure, fisheye, Landscape and Night mode. These dedicated modes do help in framing difficult shots.

The main rear camera supports recording at up to 4K resolution at 60fps, delivering sharp footage with good colour reproduction. The 32MP front camera also produces impressive videos for selfies and video calls. iQOO offers both Standard and Ultra Stabilisation modes, which help reduce shakes while walking or recording handheld videos.

Battery and Charging Performance

The phone packs a massive 7,600mAh Silicon-Carbon battery and it consistently delivers excellent backup. It comfortably lasted for more than a day on a single charge even with our heavy use that included gaming, streaming videos, browsing social media, calling, taking photos and using navigation. So for moderate users, we are assuming stretching it to nearly two days should not be difficult.

The 100W fast charging support makes sure you don’t have to wait for long when it is time for charging the phone. We timed it for a week and the phone can easily charge up to around 50 percent in about 25 minutes and reach a full charge in roughly 50 minutes. However, the phone does warm up a bit while charging at full speed but nothing that felt unusual or concerning during our time with the phone.

There is a bypass charging feature that allows you to power the phone directly while gaming instead of continuously charging the battery. We did miss not having wireless charging. While it’s not a dealbreaker for most users, especially considering the fast wired charging speeds on offer.

Verdict – Is It Worth Buying iQOO 15R?

After using the iQOO 15R for months, we can confidently say that the phone gets most things right. It offers a clean and practical design, an excellent AMOLED display, flagship-level performance, reliable battery life and fast charging. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset keeps the phone smooth no matter what you throw at it and overall, it is a great choice for power users and gamers alike.

The promise of four Android updates along with six years of security patches is definitely a point to keep in mind before making a final buying decision. iQOO has built the phone for long term use.

Although, the camera isn’t too competitive for the segment. While the 50MP primary camera captures good photos and videos, the camera setup feels less versatile than some of its rivals at the current price.

Overall, if your priorities are performance, battery life, gamin, and a great display, the iQOO 15R is an easy recommendation despite the recent price hike.

The teaser also highlights phrases such as “great camera,” “great style,” “great battery,” and “great price.” These indicate that the upcoming smartphone is likely to target buyers looking for a feature-packed device at a competitive price.

Although Motorola has not confirmed the identity of the smartphone, speculation points towards the Motorola Edge 70 Max following its recent alleged appearance on the BIS certification platform.

It is tipped to feature a flat AMOLED-style display with ultra-slim bezels on all four sides and a centrally positioned punch-hole selfie camera. On the software side, the Motorola Edge 70 Max is said to come with Qira AI Assistant alongside features such as smart photo editing, text summarisation, image search, real-time translation, conversational AI capabilities, and deeper Moto AI integration.

However, Motorola has not officially confirmed these details, so the leaked specifications and rebranding claims should be treated as speculation until the company makes an official announcement.

iPhone 18 Pro Colour Options Tipped Again; New Leak Confirms Dark Cherry Finish

0

Highlights

  • A new image leak shows the iPhone 18 Pro SIM tray in Dark Cherry with shade appearing closer to deep burgundy or nearly black.
  • iPhone 18 Pro is expected in Light Blue, Silver Gray and Dark Cherry with no true black variant planned.
  • The series is likely to debut in September alongside Apple’s first iPhone Ultra.

It has been reported in multiple leaks so far that the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will arrive with a refreshed set of colour options. Leakers have also revealed that one of the new finishes could be called Dark Cherry. We have had images go viral on social media showing the possible share even though Apple is yet to reveal how this colour will look. Now, a newly surfaced leak may have again offered an unofficial early glimpse of the upcoming shade.

The well-known China tipster named Instant Digital on Weibo has shared a new image, which is said to show the SIM tray of the iPhone 18 Pro. According to the leak, the image of SIM tray was options through a source and belongs to the Dark Cherry version of the smartphone. Notably, the image shared is of relatively low quality and it is difficult to assume the actual shade solely based on that.

However, we can say that the finish based on the leaked photo appears noticeably darker than what earlier rumours had suggested. Instead of a brighter cherry-inspired colour, the leaked SIM tray looks closer to a deep burgundy or a nearly black shade of purple.

iPhone 18 Pro – Three Colour Options Expected

Previous leaks indicate that Apple is expected to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro in Light Blue, Silver Gray, and Dark Cherry colour options. If these reports are accurate, the Dark Cherry variant would serve as the closest alternative to a traditional black model.

Replying to a user asking whether a black version would be available, Instant Digital reportedly said that Apple is not planning to release one reinforcing earlier rumours that the Pro models will be limited to just three colour choices.

Meanwhile, two separate leaks have suggested that Apple has also been working on a Dark Gray version of the iPhone 18 Pro. However, it remains unclear whether this colour will make it to the final retail lineup.

Previous reports have also included renders, Pantone colour references for the expected finishes and leaked dummy units showing all of the rumoured colour options.

If Apple ultimately decides not to release the Dark Gray model, it would mark the second consecutive year without a true black iPhone Pro variant. That said, a darker finish similar to black would likely be welcomed by many users. One Reddit user even said they would upgrade from a blue iPhone 17 Pro if Apple introduced such a colour.

iPhone 18 Pro Launch Expected in September

As per the latest rumours, the iPhone 18 Pro series is expected to debut in early September alongside Apple’s first iPhone Ultra. Meanwhile, Apple’s first foldable iPhone is expected to be offered in no more than two colour options.

Every iPhone arrival is always full of speculation in the months leading up to the launch. We should take these rumours with a pinch of salt and wait for final announcement. Anyhow, we can expect more updates regarding the colour and specs to come out in the next few weeks.
