Gizmochina is one of their recent reports confirmed spotting three Sony devices on their IMEI database. The reports suggest all three devices can be expected to be released in the near future. However, there has been no official confirmation from the brand or any official spokesperson.

Moreover, details about the spotted phones are also hazy.

According to entries found in the IMEI database, Gizmochina has, however, shared the model numbers of the three phones in its exclusive report.

As per the screenshots shared, the three upcoming smartphones will have model numbers – PM-1502-BV, PM-1503-BV, and PM-1504-BV.

These model numbers reveal little to no information about which lineups these new smartphones will belong to.

The brand, previously this year, has announced two smartphones – the Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI. That announcement came in the month of May.

The recently spotted smartphone discovery now follows the release of these two smartphones, making a total of 5 smartphone launches for the brand this year.

To recall, both the Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI were announced on 15th May 2024.

The Xperia 1 VI comes with a 6.50-inch touchscreen display and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It comes with 12GB of RAM and runs Android 14. It is powered by a 5000mAh battery.

One of the major highlights of the newly launched foldable is how thinner it is.

The 9 Pro Fold is 1.5 millimetres thinner when closed and 0.7 millimetres when open compared to the first-generation Pixel Fold.

“We knew when we made the second one, it had to be thinner,” says Pixel product manager George Hwang.

What worked as a starting point for the current design tweaks and enhancement is insights into how people interacted with the original Pixel Fold.

Most first-generation users, while enjoying the new form factor and tablet-like experience, also want to use their foldable like a regular smartphone.

They want to be able to use their foldable phone close as much as open.

The Bluetooth SIG, Bluetooth Special Interest Group, has announced the specifications for the next generation of the technology – “Bluetooth 6.0.”

While it will add a lot of upgrades to the wireless technology, one particular upgrade will improve Apple’s Find My Network feature used for tracking devices.

A report published in BGR has revealed details of every new enhancement of the upcoming wireless protocol.

Bluetooth 6.0 will have an innovative feature named Bluetooth Channel Sounding that will bring “true distance awareness.”

This feature, as per the BGR article description, will unlock “centimetre-level accuracy over considerable distances.”

This means, in simple words, mean upcoming Bluetooth 6.0 will provide the exact distance between devices.

What makes this beneficial for Apple’s Find My Network feature is an improved distance awareness technology will significantly improve the ability of the feature to locate lost devices.

Apple’s Find My network is based on Bluetooth and it currently relies on ultra-wideband technology.

The feature uses the Precision Finding feature for iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirTag users to measure the distance between two devices accurately.

Decision-Based Advertising Filtering: The Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) Extended Advertising feature transmits on both primary and secondary radio channels.

Monitoring Advertisers: Bluetooth LE controller to filter duplicate advertising packets. When active, the host only receives a single advertising packet from each unique device.

ISOAL Enhancement: The Isochronous Adaptation Layer (ISOAL) makes it possible for larger data frames to be transmitted in smaller link-layer packets and ensures the associated timing information that is needed for the correct processing of the data by receivers can be reconstituted.

LL Extended Feature Set: Devices can exchange information about the link-layer features.
