Although Xiaomi has yet to confirm its launch timeline, a fresh leak has offered a detailed look at what its camera hardware might include. Here’s what we know based on the recent leak.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra – Camera Specs (Leaked)
A report from XiaomiTime claims that newly surfaced images of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s photography kit show no provision for a fourth rear camera. The report takes this as an indication that Xiaomi may shift from the quad-camera layout seen on the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
Instead, the report claims the company could adopt a triple rear camera configuration.
According to the leak, this setup may be led by a powerful 200-megapixel telephoto sensor, marking a major upgrade in zoom capabilities. The report suggests Xiaomi is prioritising optimisation of focal lengths and sensor sizes rather than simply increasing the number of cameras. The camera system was reportedly developed under the codename “Nezha.”
The alleged triple-camera module may include a 50-megapixel primary shooter using an OVX10500U sensor, a 200-megapixel telephoto camera powered by an S5KHPE sensor and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens equipped with either an OV50M or S5KJN5 sensor.
On the front, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is rumoured to feature a 50-megapixel OV50M selfie camera for sharper photos and video calls.
The latest leak also aligns with earlier reports suggesting that Xiaomi is developing a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. It is said to support 4×4 RMSC for “multi-focal-length lossless zoom” and “telephoto macro” performance. This sensor may deliver improved magnification levels, extended focusing range, and a “high dynamic range.”
Interestingly, a separate report had previously claimed the Xiaomi 17 Ultra would sport a quad-camera setup with three 50-megapixel sensors and a 200-megapixel telephoto unit. The newest leak contradicts that and reinforces the possibility of a triple-camera design instead.
As for the launch timeline, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to launch in 2026 as the successor to the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. However, this is all speculation and we will have to wait for more updates to know anything concrete.

To ensure accuracy, UIDAI has collected verified death data from several official sources including the Registrar General of India (RGI), state and union territory administrations, the Public Distribution System, and the National Social Assistance Programme. The Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) also noted that UIDAI is considering collaborations with financial institutions and other agencies to improve access to authenticated data on deceased persons.
While Aadhaar numbers are permanently unique and never reassigned, UIDAI stressed the importance of deactivating them after an individual’s death to prevent misuse.
In a press note, UIDAI stated, “No Aadhaar number is ever re-assigned to another individual. However, in case of the death of a person, it is essential that his/her Aadhaar number is deactivated to prevent potential identity fraud, or unauthorised usage of such Aadhaar number for availing welfare benefits.”
How To Report Death of Family Members?
To simplify the process for families, UIDAI earlier rolled out a dedicated “Reporting of death of a family member” service on the myAadhaar portal. This feature is currently functional for deaths registered in 25 states and UTs via the Civil Registration System, with integration for the remaining regions still underway.
Through the portal, family members can authenticate themselves and enter the deceased person’s Aadhaar number, Death Registration Number, and demographic details.
UIDAI cross-checks the information before proceeding with deactivation.
MeitY has encouraged Aadhaar holders to make use of the online reporting service after obtaining the official death certificate from the relevant authorities. This is to ensure the database remains accurate and preventing any potential misuse.
FAQs
Q1. How many Aadhaar numbers have been deactivated by UIDAI?
Answer. UIDAI has deactivated over 2 crore Aadhaar IDs belonging to deceased individuals as part of a nationwide clean-up.
Q2. Why is it important to deactivate Aadhaar after death?
Answer. Deactivation prevents identity fraud and misuse of Aadhaar numbers for welfare benefits or unauthorised activities.
Q3. How can families report the death of a member for Aadhaar deactivation?
Answer. Families can use the “Reporting of death of a family member” service on the myAadhaar portal, currently active in 25 states/UTs, by submitting Aadhaar, Death Registration Number, and demographic details for verification.

Design and Build Quality
Design and Build Quality
The Itel A90 Limited Edition keeps things simple when it comes to design. But it does give an aesthetic that feels quite nice in daily use. We had the Space Titanium colour variant for this review and it has a classic silver matte finish. It doesn’t attract fingerprints easily and it gives the phone a clean, premium look.
The camera module is an instant reminder of the iPhone 17 Pro Max. It has a glass base and stretches across the top portion of the back. The body has a boxy shape, rounded corners and not-so-sharp edges, making the phone comfortable to hold. Overall, the phone has a modern, high-end vibe. The phone is quite lightweight as well.
It comes with MIL-STD-810H military-grade protection, which is something you don’t usually see in this segment. Itel claims it can handle accidental drops, extreme heat, freezing temperatures, and even long hours of high humidity. During brand testing, it survived –
High temperatures between 30–43°C
Low temperatures as harsh as –25°C to –35°C
Humidity up to 95% for multiple cycles
A total of 26 drops from 76–122cm on all sides and edges
Itel offers its “3P Promise,” which basically means the phone is dust-proof, water-proof, and drop-proof for real-life usage. The IP54 rating adds extra peace of mind, giving it resistance to dust and light splashes.
All in all, Itel A90 Limited Edition looks premium, feels comfortable, and is built stronger than most phones in its price range.
Display
The 6.6-inch HD+ IPS display is for everyday use. The resolution is 720×1612, the screen looks decent for watching videos, scrolling through social media, or reading. It comes with a 90Hz refresh rate. And that makes basic actions like scrolling, swiping, and navigating through menus feel smoother.
The screen responds decently well and we didn’t feel any concerning lag in touch input.
Itel offers 480 nits of typical brightness, which is good enough indoors. Outdoors, especially under strong sunlight, you may need to tilt the phone a bit, but the screen still stays usable. It has a modern look with slim bezels, making the phone feel more immersive even though it’s an HD+ panel. We are also getting an Always-On Display at this price.
Overall, the display might feel simple on paper but we found it quite reliable and well within expectations for the segment.
Performance
Performance
Itel A90 Limited Edition is a budget phone that’s built for everyday tasks. It runs on the UNISOC T7100 processor and it handles regular use quite well. The phone obviously isn’t meant for heavy gaming or intense multitasking. Although we didn’t face any issues with regular tasks such as calling, messaging, social media apps, light browsing and streaming.
The phone comes with 12GB RAM in total, which includes 4GB physical RAM + 8GB virtual RAM. This extra virtual RAM really helps keep apps from closing in the background too quickly. We felt the phone was smooth in switching between apps and basic tasks were never slow or frustrating.
The Limited Edition is a 128GB storage variant and it has plenty of space for photos, apps and downloads if you are an average user.
It runs Android 14 Go Edition, which is a lighter version of Android designed for budget phones. The software feels responsive for everyday actions without much noticeable delays. There are a few unnecessary apps, but all can be uninstalled if not required.
Itel’s AI assistant, Aivana 2.0 is also a part of A90 Limited Edition. We tried using it for simple things like opening apps, setting reminders, and asking basic questions. The response is decent, considering the segment.
Camera Performance
Camera Performance
The rear camera is a 13MP shooter with a light sensor. It captures fairly sharp and bright photos in good daylight. Colours look natural and the images have enough detail for casual photography.
The camera does struggle in low light conditions even though there is light sensor on rear to balance things. There’s also a rear LED flash, which actually helps more than usual in low-light situations. The camera system is supported with an interesting sliding zoom button. It makes zooming in and out feel smoother and more precise than tapping the screen.
The front camera is a 5MP shooter with AI enhancements.Selfies look okay but not detailed. It is decent setup for video calls and social media. The AI enhances the skin tones a bit, making the photos look cleaner and slightly brighter.

Battery and Charging
It comes with a 5000mAh battery. For a medium to an average user, it easily lasts a full day and more. Itel claims it offers up to 35 days of standby, 31 hours of talk time, 75 hours of music playback, and 18 hours of video streaming.
Charging-wise, the phone supports 15W fast charging but good thing is that Itel packs a 10W charger in the box. It’s not very fast, but it should be acceptable considering the segment.
Overall, the battery performance feels reliable and stress-free.

The iPad mini 8 is tipped to debut in Q3 2026 with the iPad Air expected to follow in 2027.

It has always been reported that Apple’s next-generation iPad mini will come with a major display upgrade. Earlier reports from Bloomberg and Korean outlets have pointed out that Apple is gearing up to bring OLED technology to the compact iPad lineup. The launch timeline predicted so far is 2026. But the latest leak now specifies exactly when in 2026 we can expect the launch.
OLED iPad Mini 8 – Launch Timeline
It seems iPad mini 8 will not arrive before the third quarter of 2026. This recent update comes from a well-known Weibo tipster named Instant Digital.

Instant Digital reiterates that the iPad mini will become the second iPad to transition to OLED panels after the iPad Pro. Following that, the iPad Air is expected to adopt OLED tech as well, though not before 2027. At present, OLED displays remain exclusive to Apple’s premium iPad Pro models.
Instant Digital has a mixed leak accuracy record but has shared some correct information in the past. The tipster correctly revealed details about the Yellow iPhone 14/14 Plus and the Titanium Milanese Loop designed for the Apple Watch Ultra 2 in the past.
iPad Mini 8 – What More to Expect?
On the performance front, the iPad mini 8 may feature Apple’s A19 Pro chip. It is the same mid-tier processor used in the iPhone Air. Built on the enhanced third-generation 3nm N3P process, the A19 Pro is designed to offer moderate gains in speed and energy efficiency.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has also reported that Apple is working on boosting the device’s durability. As part of this effort, the company is said to be testing a new vibration-based speaker system that removes the need for traditional speaker holes, potentially enabling a more water-resistant chassis.
With the inclusion of OLED technology and a more durable build, the next iPad mini is expected to see a price increase. Gurman suggests Apple could raise the starting price by up to $100. Currently, the iPad mini begins at $499.
OLED panels are known for their pixel-level illumination control, allowing more accurate colours, deeper blacks, improved contrast, faster response times, wider viewing angles, and greater flexibility in overall design. The shift to OLED is expected to bring a noticeable visual improvement to the iPad mini series.

If you have been using Microsoft’s Copilot AI via WhatsApp, this news is for you. In a recent development, Microsoft has just announced that its AI-powered assistant will no longer be accessible on WhatsApp starting January 15, 2026.
This move ends the widely used integration that allowed users to interact with Copilot directly within the messaging platform. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming change.
Why Microsoft’s Copilot AI Is Leaving WhatsApp?
According to Microsoft, the discontinuation is a direct result of WhatsApp’s revised platform policies. The company revealed that WhatsApp is removing all LLM-based chatbots from its platform effective January 15, 2026.
“This is due to recent updates to WhatsApp’s platform policies removing all LLM chatbots from the platform effective January 15th, and as a result, Copilot will be discontinued. We’re working to ensure a smooth transition for users and enable their continued Copilot access on mobile, web, and PC,”Microsoft explained.
In an official blog post, the company reflected on the impact of the feature, stating, “Since launching in late 2024, Copilot on WhatsApp has helped millions of people connect with their AI companion in a familiar, everyday setting. We’re incredibly proud of the impact it’s had. But starting January 15, 2026, Copilot will no longer be available on WhatsApp.”
What Happens After January 15, 2026?
WhatsApp users can continue accessing Copilot until January 15 cut-off. After that date, the chatbot will cease functioning on the messaging app.
However, Copilot will remain available through other Microsoft-supported platforms. Users can access the AI assistant via Copilot mobile app for iOS and Android, Copilot on the web at copilot.com and Copilot on Windows.
Microsoft also clarified that chat histories from WhatsApp will not carry over to other Copilot platforms. Since WhatsApp access was unauthenticated, user conversations cannot be transferred. The company advises users to save important chats before the discontinuation date.“If you’d like to keep a record of your conversations, we recommend exporting your chat history using WhatsApp’s built-in tools prior to January 15, 2026,” said Microsoft.
The announcement ensures users have more than enough time to transition to alternative Copilot access points and preserve their data ahead of the change.

Answer. Copilot will no longer be accessible on WhatsApp starting January 15, 2026, following WhatsApp’s updated policies removing all LLM-based chatbots.

Apple is on track to reclaim its long-lost title as the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer, according to new data from Counterpoint Research. The growth is driven by strong demand for its latest iPhone lineup and a global surge in device upgrades,
The iPhone 17 series, launched in September, has delivered impressive performance across Apple’s key markets including the US and China. Counterpoint notes that the new models have triggered double-digit year-on-year sales growth in both regions. Analysts attribute this momentum not only to the popularity of the devices but also to improved US-China trade dynamics and a weakening US dollar, which has made Apple products more attractive in emerging markets.
The research firm’s projections indicate that Apple will surpass Samsung Electronics Co. this year. iPhone shipments are forecast to grow by 10% in 2025, significantly outpacing Samsung’s expected growth rate of 4.6%.
With the global smartphone market projected to expand by 3.3% next year,Apple is expected to secure a 19.4% market share. This will mark its first return to the No. 1 position since 2011.
Highlighting the shift in consumer behaviour, Counterpoint analyst Yang Wang said, “Beyond the highly positive market reception for the iPhone 17 series, the key driver behind the upgraded shipment outlook lies in the replacement cycle reaching its inflection point. Consumers who purchased smartphones during the Covid-19 boom are now entering their upgrade phase. Furthermore, 358 million secondhand iPhones were sold between 2023 and Q2 2025. These users are also likely to upgrade to a new iPhone in the coming years.”
The momentum is expected to carry Apple well into the future. Counterpoint forecasts that the company will widen its lead with the anticipated 2026 launch of a foldable iPhone and a more affordable iPhone 17e. Apple is also reportedly preparing a major iPhone redesign for 2027, as previously revealed by Bloomberg.
Analysts predict Apple will maintain its position as the top smartphone vendor through 2029, thanks to these upcoming product cycles.
Meanwhile, Apple has recently confirmed that its sales are growing faster than earlier estimates. The Cupertino Giant is also projected to reach nearly $140 billion in revenue during the ongoing holiday quarter.
