Highlights

  • OnePlus 16 with model number PYB110 has received China’s SRRC certification with N79 5G band support.
  • The device is tipped to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, a 6.78-inch LIPO flat display with ultra-narrow bezels and possibly a circular rear camera island.
  • The gaming-focused upgrades include a 165Hz display, enhanced kernel, and triple-core e-sports processor.

The alleged OnePlus 16 appears to be moving closer to its expected launch with a new Oppo-linked smartphone receiving network access certification in China. Here’s more on what we know.

The phone carries the model number PYB110 and has also been spotted with support for the N79 5G band. Well-known tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo claims that the certified device is the upcoming OnePlus 16.

According to the tipster, the smartphone will be one of only two phones in the series to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset.

Digital Chat Station had previously revealed that a smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro was scheduled to launch in October. The information was widely believed to be referring to the OnePlus 16 and the latest certification adds further weight to those claims.

However, the exact identity of the PYB110 has not yet been officially confirmed. OnePlus has also not announced the OnePlus 16 or revealed its launch date.

OnePlus 16 – What Else We Know So Far?

According to the latest leak, engineering samples of the OnePlus 16 are still using a 6.78-inch LIPO flat display with ultra-narrow bezels. LIPO refers to a manufacturing and packaging process that helps reduce the size of the bezels and pushes them closer to the edges of the screen.

The phone could also bring a notable design change. An early teaser has reportedly hinted at the return of a circular camera island on the rear.

At the Qualcomm Snapdragon Gaming Technology Awards held on July 30, OnePlus China President Li Jie confirmed that three of the company’s exclusive gaming technologies will receive a major upgrade and debut with the OnePlus 16.

The materials shown during the event reportedly pointed towards a 165Hz high-refresh-rate display, a fast gaming kernel and a triple-core e-sports processor setup. These upgrades are expected to further improve the phone’s gaming performance.

The complete specifications of the OnePlus 16 are still unknown and there is no official confirmation yet that the PYB110 certification belongs to the upcoming flagship.

As for the launch timeline, multiple hints make an October launch appear possible. More details about the OnePlus 16 are expected to emerge as the launch gets closer.

The Realme 16x 5G is set to launch in India on August 12 and its alleged pricing has now surfaced online. A tipster has shared the expected selling prices of all three memory variants, giving potential buyers an idea of what the upcoming smartphone could cost in India.

This comes a day after the leaked retail box MRP of one of the Realme 16x 5G variants surfaced online. The newly leaked prices also suggest that the actual selling price of the phone will be considerably lower than the MRP printed on its retail packaging. Here are more details.

Realme 16x 5G India Price and Live Images Leaked

According to tipster Anant Rawat on X, the Realme 16x 5G will be available in three configurations including 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 6GB RAM with 256GB storage.

The base 4GB+128GB variant is reportedly priced at INR 25,999. The 6GB+128GB model is said to cost INR 27,999, while the top-end 6GB+256GB variant could be priced at INR 30,999.

Earlier, tipster Sanju Choudhary on X had also shared a picture of the retail box label of the Realme 16x 5G. The label showed an MRP of INR 54,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant. In a subsequent post, tipster Sanju also confirmed that the Realme 16x will be available at the starting price of INR 25,999 for the 4GB+128GB variant.

It is worth noting that the latest leak does not clarify whether the reported prices include any launch offers or bank discounts. Therefore, the effective price of the Realme 16x 5G could be different when the phone goes on sale.

The iQOO Neo 11 Ultra is nearing its official debut and details about the upcoming flagship have started emerging ahead of the launch. iQOO has confirmed that it will showcase the Neo 11 Ultra on August 10 but leaked real-life images and a Geekbench listing have already revealed several details about the phone.

The latest leaks also suggest that iQOO could introduce another Z-series smartphone, the iQOO Z11S, alongside the Neo 11 Ultra in China. Both phones are expected to focus heavily on battery capacity, with the Z11S reportedly featuring a massive 10,000mAh battery.

iQOO Neo 11 Ultra Design Revealed in Real-Life Images

Tipster Experience More on Weibo has shared real-life images of the iQOO Neo 11 Ultra, offering the first look at the upcoming smartphone. The images show the phone in Wind Chaser and Light White colour options.

The Neo 11 Ultra can be seen featuring a new horizontal camera module on the rear, accompanied by an LED flash. The overall camera module design appears similar to that of the iQOO Neo 11, although the camera arrangement on the Neo 11 was vertically oriented.

One of the leaked images also shows the model number V2573A on a label. This is the same model that was previously spotted on China’s 3C certification with a 100W charger. The smartphone is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset.

The iQOO Neo 11 Ultra is expected to be available in four configurations such as 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, 12GB RAM with 512GB storage, 16GB RAM with 256GB storage and 16GB RAM with 512GB storage.

While the leaked images do not show the front of the phone, previous reports suggest that it will feature a 6.83-inch flat OLED display with a 2K resolution and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. The phone is expected to run Android 16 with OriginOS 6 on top.

iQOO Neo 11 Ultra Geekbench Details Revealed

The iQOO Neo 11 Ultra has also appeared on Geekbench 6 with the V2573A model number. The benchmark listing provides details about the processor and confirms that the phone will come with 16GB of RAM and Android 16.

The listed CPU configuration includes one prime core clocked at 4.21GHz (C1-Ultra), three performance cores running at 3.50GHz and four efficiency cores clocked at 2.70GHz. These specifications point towards the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, although the version used on the Neo 11 Ultra appears to have been modified.

The regular Dimensity 9500 comes with a Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 GPU, whereas the iQOO Neo 11 Ultra is listed with a Mali-G1 Ultra MC11 GPU. This means the phone has one fewer GPU core. As a result, graphics performance could be slightly lower than that of a standard Dimensity 9500-powered device, although the difference may not be noticeable during everyday use.

iQOO Neo 11 Ultra Specifications and Battery

The Neo 11 Ultra is confirmed to feature a 6.83-inch flat display with a 2K resolution. The phone will also feature an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. iQOO has officially confirmed a 9,100mAh battery, making it the first phone in the Neo series to feature such a large battery.

The phone is expected to support 100W wired charging, while wireless charging may not be available. Earlier reports had pointed to a battery capacity of around 9,000mAh. The smartphone is also expected to feature a metal middle frame and an IP68/69 rating for dust and water resistance.

Camera details have not yet been officially revealed. However, reports suggest that the Neo 11 Ultra could feature a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual rear camera setup, with OIS support for the 50-megapixel main camera. A 16-megapixel camera is expected on the front.

iQOO Z11S Could Launch Alongside Neo 11 Ultra

Alongside the Neo 11 Ultra, iQOO could also introduce a new Z-series smartphone in China this month. According to tipster Experience More, the company is preparing to launch the iQOO Z11S, which could debut alongside the Neo 11 Ultra.

The Z11S will reportedly be the fifth smartphone in the series following the Z11 Turbo, Z11, Z11x and Z11i. The tipster has not revealed the phone’s complete specifications but has suggested that its launch could coincide with the Neo 11 Ultra.

Two Vivo phones carrying the model numbers V2753A and V2603A were recently spotted on Geekbench and Chinese certification platforms including 3C and MIIT. Reports have identified the V2573A as the upcoming iQOO Neo 11 Ultra, while it remains unclear whether the V2603A will eventually launch as the Z11S or as another device.

The V2603A has appeared on Geekbench with the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 chipset, 12GB of RAM and Android 16. Its 3C certification suggests that it could support 44W charging. Other specifications of the device remain unknown at this stage.

iQOO Z11S to Feature a 10,000mAh Battery

The iQOO Z11S is expected to follow a different approach from the Neo 11 Ultra, with its biggest highlight being a 10,000mAh battery. If launched as reported, it will be iQOO’s first smartphone to enter the 10,000mAh battery category.

iQOO has officially confirmed that the Z11S will feature a 144Hz display. The promotional material also highlights eye-care features. The phone will reportedly come with a 6.83-inch screen featuring full-brightness DC-like dimming and 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. It will also have SGS certifications for low blue light and low flicker.

The Z11S will feature a vertically arranged dual-camera setup on the rear, housed inside a rectangular camera module. The flash will be positioned beside the camera module. Leaked images show the phone in White, Black and a pale Green colour option.

Here’s what we know about this unnamed Vivo device so far.

Vivo V2603A Geekbench, 3C Certification Details

The Vivo V2603A was approved by China’s CMIIT authority toward the end of July. A few days ago, it also received certification from the 3C authority. Now, according to tipster Anvin on X, the smartphone has appeared on Geekbench giving us a look at its chipset, RAM and Android version.

The Geekbench listing shows that the Vivo V2603A is powered by a MediaTek MT6881 chipset. The processor is paired with a Mali-G625 MC2 GPU and features four CPU cores clocked at 2.0GHz, while the remaining four cores run at 2.60GHz.

Based on these specifications, the phone appears to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 chipset. The Geekbench listing also mentions 12GB of RAM, while the device is shown running Android 16. It is likely that Vivo will offer its OriginOS 6 interface on top of the Android version.

The smartphone’s 3C certification has also revealed its charging capability. The Vivo V2603A could support 44W charging. However, it is still unclear whether the device will launch under the Vivo brand or arrive as an iQOO smartphone.

Recent Vivo and iQOO Phones with Dimensity 7500

The Vivo group currently has two smartphones powered by the Dimensity 7500 chipset. One of them is the Vivo S60 Vitality Edition, also known as the Vivo S60e, which was launched in China earlier this year. And the same chipset is also used in iQOO Z11, which will enter the Indian market on August 20.

The Vivo S60e comes with support for 90W charging, while the fast-charging details of the iQOO Z11 have not been revealed yet. This makes the identity of the V2603A particularly interesting.

As of now, it is not clear if Vivo V2603A will turn out to be a rebranded version of the iQOO Z11 for another market or whether it will be an entirely different smartphone. Anyhow, we can expect more details including the final moniker of the device to surface in the coming days.

Redmi appears to be preparing for another smartphone launch in the coming days. The brand has just unveiled Redmi 17 5G and Redmi 17 4G globally, while also introducing Redmi Note 17 5G in India. This time, we may get Redmi 17C 5G.

The model has been spotted in an early listing on the website of a retailer based in Luxembourg. The listing not only reveals its official renders but has also listed the complete specifications. Here’s everything we know about Redmi 17C 5G, much ahead of any official announcement.

From the renders in the listing, it appears the upcoming Redmi 17C 5G will feature some design changes and different colour options compared to its predecessor, the Redmi 15C. There is a slight change in the camera island compared to the 15C.

As per the listing, the upcoming Redmi 17C 5G is expected to be offered in Brown, Purple and Black colour options.

Redmi 17C 5G – Full Specifications Confirmed

According to the retailer listing, the Redmi 17C 5G will feature a 6.9-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone measures 171.56 x 79.47 x 8.05mm and weighs approximately 211 grams.

The phone is also equipped with a 6,000mAh battery and supports fast charging, although the retailer listing does not mention the charging speed.

On the software front, it will run Xiaomi HyperOS 3.

For photography, the Redmi 17C 5G is listed with a dual-camera setup on the rear. The main camera uses a 50-megapixel sensor with autofocus and an f/1.8 aperture. On the front, the phone is expected to feature an 8-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

The connectivity options listed for the phone include 5G, dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB Type-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device will also feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and facial recognition with AI face unlock. Other sensors mentioned in the listing include an accelerometer, proximity sensor, compass and light sensor.

If these listed specs are correct, Redmi 17C 5G looks quite similar to last year’s Redmi 15C when it comes to key features. Apart from slight design changes, one of the only major differences is that the upcoming Redmi 17C 5G will also run a newer version of HyperOS.

While the retailer listing reveals most of the details, it does not reveal the smartphone’s possible price in the region. We can expect more details including any information about the pricing or official launch date to surface in the coming days.
