At first glance, the Watch 5 might look like a minor upgrade over its predecessor. But it stands out with the new Multi-sensing X-TAP Technology, which combines ECG, PPG, and a 10-level Tactile Sensor into a compact module on the side of the watch. Just tap it with your fingers, and it delivers accurate health insights.

Pressing and holding the X-TAP sensor activates Health Glance, which shows key health metrics like heart rate, ECG, heart rate variability (HRV) and SpO2.

For the first time, Huawei has also added an NPU (neural processing unit) to a smartwatch. This enables new gesture controls, like double-tapping or sliding your thumb and index finger together to do things like snap a photo or turn off an alarm.

Both the Fit 4 and Fit 4 Pro feature a 1.82-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 480×408 pixels. The Pro gets 3000 nits of peak brightness, while the standard model tops out at 2000 nits. The regular Fit 4 is even lighter at 27g.

The Fit 4 Pro is built tough. It’s 5ATM water-resistant, IP6X dustproof and certified for free dives up to 40 meters, thanks to an EN13319 depth sensor. There’s also a new diving mode with live depth tracking, apnea training, and hover timers.

Golfers get a full golf mode with access to 15,000+ courses, 3D fairway views, smart distance measuring and a digital scorecard. For runners and hikers, it offers dual-band GNSS, a barometer, offline maps and breadcrumb navigation.

Battery life is solid on both, lasting up to 10 days or around 4 days with Always-on Display. With Huawei’s second-gen SuperCharger, just 10 minutes of charging gives a full day’s use.

Smart Features on both include voice note recording, Bluetooth calling, quick message replies, remote camera shutter and custom sticker-style watch faces. NFC is available on all variants of the Fit 4 Pro, but only the grey version of the regular Fit 4 supports it.

iPhone Fold May Go for Punch-Hole and Under-Display Cameras Replacing the Notch

0

Highlights

  • Apple’s upcoming foldable iPhone is expected to open like a book with a 7.8-inch inner and a 5.5-inch outer screen.
  • The outer screen may have a punch-hole camera instead of a notch or Dynamic Island.
  • The inner foldable display might feature an under-display camera for a full-screen experience.
  • Apple aims to finalise the hardware by June with mass production expected by late 2026.
  • A launch can be expected by the end of next year.

Apple’s foldable iPhone has been a long-running rumour. However, it looks like things are finally moving forward if we believe the leaks and supply chain chatter. We have already heard about some possibilities when it comes to the first foldable from the Cupertino Giant, but the latest leaks give a good idea of what we can expect.

Well-known Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station says the iPhone Fold is getting closer to becoming real and might break away from Apple’s usual design choices.

image

Caption – Latest Digital Chat Station post on Weibo. (Translated via Google Translate)

The foldable iPhone is expected to open like a book featuring two screens. These would be a large 7.8-inch inner display with no visible crease and a smaller 5.5-inch outer screen.

What stands out is how Apple might handle the selfie cameras. The outer screen could come with a punch-hole cutout, a big shift from the usual notch or Dynamic Island. Inside, the foldable screen may use an under-display camera, which would give users a full-screen experience. That’s a bold move, as not many phone makers have pulled it off successfully.

Touch ID might also return, but not under the screen. Instead, Apple is likely placing it in the power button on the side, just like on the iPad Air. That choice probably makes sense given how packed foldable phones can get internally, leaving little room for the usual Face ID setup.

On the development side, things seem to be speeding up too.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says Apple is aiming to lock in the hardware design by June. Meanwhile, Jeff Pu reports that the foldable iPhone is already in the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase at Foxconn, which usually means a working prototype is ready. Mass production is said to be planned for late 2026, with a possible launch around the end of next year.

As for pricing, the first-generation foldable iPhone is expected to cost between $2,000 and $2,300, putting it squarely in the ultra-premium category. But considering Apple’s loyal fanbase and the buzz around a foldable iPhone, the high price might not be a dealbreaker.

Apple has clearly been observing the foldable market carefully. From the looks of it, the company is preparing to release a device that could set a new standard, not just play catch-up. Whether or not it lives up to the hype remains to be seen, but Apple seems ready to fold the future on its own terms.

FAQs

Q1. How will Apple’s foldable iPhone be designed?

Answer. The device is expected to open like a book, featuring a 7.8-inch inner screen with no visible crease and a 5.5-inch outer screen.

Q2. What changes are being made to the selfie camera setup?

Answer. The outer screen may have a punch-hole cutout instead of a notch or Dynamic Island, while the inner foldable display could feature an under-display camera for a full-screen experience.

Q3. When will the foldable iPhone be released, and how much will it cost?

Answer. Apple aims to finalise the hardware design by June, with mass production expected in late 2026 and a possible launch around the end of next year. The price is expected to be between $2,000 and $2,300, placing it in the ultra-premium category.

Battlegrounds Mobile India is rolling out its big 3.8 update starting May 15. Krafton India is pushing the download in phases on both Android and iOS, so it may not pop up for everyone at once. Availability depends on your region and phone model.

BGMI Version 3.8 – Rollout Date and Time

Krafton is expected to roll out the BGMI 3.8 update in India on May 15, 2025 at 7:00 AM.

The rollout will reportedly be released in phases across Android and iOS devices. Some players may receive it slightly earlier or later depending on their region or phone model.

BGMI Version 3.8 – What’s New?

The centrepiece is the Steampunk Frontier Theme Mode, inspired by the hit anime Attack on Titan. Erangel now has two fresh hot-drop zones near the Shooting Range and Mylta, packed with top-tier loot and tight close-quarters fights.

New gameplay toys include –

  • Giant Potion – Drink it to grow huge for a short time; squad-mates can even ride on your shoulder. The effect wears off, so time it well.

  • Loot Trains – Two moving trains cruise the map carrying rare weapons and gear, turning every ride into a moving firefight.

The update features new rewards including crate coupons, new emotes, outfits like the Belle Tinkerer Set, the Cogwheel Core Dagger, new suits available through Gold Spin new skins, and much more.

Storage, Size and How To Install

Make sure you have at least 2 GB of free space and that your current BGMI build is up-to-date before starting the download.

When the update reaches your device, grab it from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store as usual. However, if you don’t see it yet, give it a little time and try again.

It is just been days since Samsung unveiled its new slim Galaxy S25 Edge and we are already hearing about a successor. According to a new report, the Korean company might be planning to launch a Galaxy S26 Edge next year and it could even take the place of the Galaxy S26+. The update comes amid reports that the new Galaxy S25 Edge hasn’t exactly been met with overwhelming excitement.

A report from The Elec says that Samsung intends to swap out the Galaxy S26+ with a slimmer Galaxy S26 Edge in its Galaxy S26 2026 lineup.

Keeping the demand and reception of the new S25 Edge aside, this kind of makes sense on paper.

The Galaxy S25+ and S25 Edge have nearly the same screen size and overall dimensions, but the Edge is thinner. It also costs $100 more but gets an upgrade to the same 200MP camera found in the Ultra model. The only real downside is that the Edge has a smaller battery, which is a major concern for many users.

The report reveals that Samsung has just started working on this new “slim” device, but the project depends on how well the Galaxy S25 Edge performs in the market. According to sources from Samsung’s component suppliers, the company has kicked off development of the Galaxy S26 series under the project name “NPA.” For reference, the Galaxy S25 series went by “PA,” which stood for Paradigm.

The NPA project is still in its early stages. Samsung is currently in the process of selecting its first and second-tier suppliers for the components.

Meanwhile, as stated above, this week’s launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge was met with mixed reactions, with many people wondering why the device even exists. The smaller battery is one reason many tech enthusiasts weren’t excited, especially when Samsung’s phones already tend to fall short in battery life compared to the competition.

Samsung’s push toward slimmer phones might pay off over time, especially as battery technology improves. But expecting major changes within a single year might be too optimistic if the goal is to replace a long-standing device like the S Plus series.

As of now, Samsung is targeting 37.7 million Galaxy S25 units to ship this year. Of that, the Plus model has the lowest sales goal at 6.7 million units, while the standard model aims for 13.6 million and the Ultra leads with 17.4 million.

FAQs

Q1. Will Samsung replace the Galaxy S26+ with the S26 Edge?

Answer. A report suggests Samsung might swap the Galaxy S26+ for a slimmer S26 Edge in 2026, though the decision depends on the market performance of the S25 Edge.

Q2. What are the differences between the Galaxy S25 Edge and S25+?

Answer. The S25 Edge is thinner, costs $100 more, and features a 200MP camera, but it has a smaller battery, which has raised concerns among users.

Q3. What is Samsung’s current development status for the Galaxy S26 series?

Answer. Samsung has started working on the Galaxy S26 series under the project name “NPA” and is selecting suppliers, but the project is still in early stages.
