Motorola has teased the launch of a new smartphone in India just days after an alleged Motorola Edge 70 Max listing surfaced on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website. While the company has not officially revealed the name of the upcoming handset, recent developments suggest the teased device could be the Motorola Edge 70 Max. Here’s more on that.

Motorola Hints at New Smartphone Launch

Motorola shared a teaser on its official X account with the message, The overlap you’ve been waiting for. Wow all the way… coming soon.”

The teaser also highlights phrases such as “great camera,” “great style,” “great battery,” and “great price.” These indicate that the upcoming smartphone is likely to target buyers looking for a feature-packed device at a competitive price.

Although Motorola has not confirmed the identity of the smartphone, speculation points towards the Motorola Edge 70 Max following its recent alleged appearance on the BIS certification platform.

Motorola Edge 70 Max – Expected Specifications

If the teased smartphone turns out to be the Motorola Edge 70 Max, previously leaked marketing material suggests that it could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.

The smartphone is also expected to be available in Onyx Black with a glossy finish, Sage Green with a matte finish, and Glacier Blue, which is said to feature a subtle pearl-like effect under light.

It is tipped to feature a flat AMOLED-style display with ultra-slim bezels on all four sides and a centrally positioned punch-hole selfie camera. On the rear, it is expected to house a triple-camera setup inside a module with four circular cutouts with the primary camera, telephoto lens, ultra-wide camera, and LED flash.

Leaked information also points to camera features focused on portrait photography, low-light imaging, action photography, portrait blur, and AI-powered photo editing tools. Other expected highlights include an Always-on Display, live wallpapers, animated themes, a premium tempered glass back, MIL-STD-810H durability certification, and wireless charging support.

On the software side, the Motorola Edge 70 Max is said to come with Qira AI Assistant alongside features such as smart photo editing, text summarisation, image search, real-time translation, conversational AI capabilities, and deeper Moto AI integration.

However, Motorola has not officially confirmed these details, so the leaked specifications and rebranding claims should be treated as speculation until the company makes an official announcement.

iPhone 18 Pro Colour Options Tipped Again; New Leak Confirms Dark Cherry Finish

0

Highlights

  • A new image leak shows the iPhone 18 Pro SIM tray in Dark Cherry with shade appearing closer to deep burgundy or nearly black.
  • iPhone 18 Pro is expected in Light Blue, Silver Gray and Dark Cherry with no true black variant planned.
  • The series is likely to debut in September alongside Apple’s first iPhone Ultra.

It has been reported in multiple leaks so far that the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will arrive with a refreshed set of colour options. Leakers have also revealed that one of the new finishes could be called Dark Cherry. We have had images go viral on social media showing the possible share even though Apple is yet to reveal how this colour will look. Now, a newly surfaced leak may have again offered an unofficial early glimpse of the upcoming shade.

iPhone 18 Pro – Leaked SIM Tray Image With Look at Dark Cherry Colour

The well-known China tipster named Instant Digital on Weibo has shared a new image, which is said to show the SIM tray of the iPhone 18 Pro. According to the leak, the image of SIM tray was options through a source and belongs to the Dark Cherry version of the smartphone. Notably, the image shared is of relatively low quality and it is difficult to assume the actual shade solely based on that.

However, we can say that the finish based on the leaked photo appears noticeably darker than what earlier rumours had suggested. Instead of a brighter cherry-inspired colour, the leaked SIM tray looks closer to a deep burgundy or a nearly black shade of purple.

iPhone 18 Pro – Three Colour Options Expected

Previous leaks indicate that Apple is expected to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro in Light Blue, Silver Gray, and Dark Cherry colour options. If these reports are accurate, the Dark Cherry variant would serve as the closest alternative to a traditional black model.

Replying to a user asking whether a black version would be available, Instant Digital reportedly said that Apple is not planning to release one reinforcing earlier rumours that the Pro models will be limited to just three colour choices.

Meanwhile, two separate leaks have suggested that Apple has also been working on a Dark Gray version of the iPhone 18 Pro. However, it remains unclear whether this colour will make it to the final retail lineup.

Previous reports have also included renders, Pantone colour references for the expected finishes and leaked dummy units showing all of the rumoured colour options.

If Apple ultimately decides not to release the Dark Gray model, it would mark the second consecutive year without a true black iPhone Pro variant. That said, a darker finish similar to black would likely be welcomed by many users. One Reddit user even said they would upgrade from a blue iPhone 17 Pro if Apple introduced such a colour.

iPhone 18 Pro Launch Expected in September

As per the latest rumours, the iPhone 18 Pro series is expected to debut in early September alongside Apple’s first iPhone Ultra. Meanwhile, Apple’s first foldable iPhone is expected to be offered in no more than two colour options.

Every iPhone arrival is always full of speculation in the months leading up to the launch. We should take these rumours with a pinch of salt and wait for final announcement. Anyhow, we can expect more updates regarding the colour and specs to come out in the next few weeks.

iPhone 17 Pro Gets Exclusive Clean HDMI Out Feature in Final Cut Camera for Professional Video Work

0

Highlights

  • Apple adds Clean HDMI Out to Final Cut Camera that enables professional creators to output video without overlays.

  • It provides clean feed for external monitors/recorders, improving framing and production quality for studio-style video setups.

Apple has rolled out a new update for Final Cut Camera that introduces the Clean HDMI Out feature. The new feature allows professional video creators a cleaner way to output live footage to an external monitor or recorder without on-screen controls or overlays. However, the new capability is available exclusively on the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Here are more details.

Clean HDMI Out Feature in Final Cut Camera

The newly added Clean HDMI Out feature allows users to transmit a clean video feed from the Final Cut Camera app to an external display or recording device. By removing interface elements and overlays, the feature lets creators focus entirely on the framing, lighting, subject, and overall image during filming.

It is particularly useful for users who rely on the iPhone as part of a professional video production setup and connect it to larger monitors while shooting.

According to the release notes, “Use Clean HDMI Out to send a clean video feed without overlays to an external monitor or recorder so you can stay focused on the image being captured (requires iPhone 17 Pro).”

Easier Workflow Between iPhone and Mac

The latest update also improves the integration between Final Cut Camera and Final Cut Pro. Users can now import footage directly into Final Cut Pro by connecting their iPhone to a Mac and this will make the editing process more seamless for those who record videos on an iPhone and complete their projects on a Mac.

Apple appears to have introduced this feature with professional content creators in mind. A clean HDMI output offers greater flexibility during production and makes the iPhone 17 Pro lineup better suited for studio-style video workflows.

The feature is not available on all iPhone models and is only meant for advanced camera capabilities exclusive to its Pro series.
