The Google Pixel Watch 4 is scheduled to launch on August 20, 2025 and new leaks suggest buyers may not need to worry about a price increase this year. With leaked pricing now available for both size variants and connectivity options, it looks like Google is planning to keep prices in line with the Pixel Watch 3. Here’s what we know so far.

Google Pixel Watch 4 – Pricing Leaked

The latest pricing leak comes from well-known tipster billbil-kun on X (formerly Twitter) via Dealabs’ latest report. The 41mm Pixel Watch 4 with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi is expected to start at €399, while the LTE version with eSIM support could be priced at €499.

For the larger 45mm model, pricing is said to be €449 for Wi-Fi and €549 for LTE, maintaining the usual €100 difference between Wi-Fi and LTE versions.

These leaked prices are nearly identical to the Pixel Watch 3’s launch pricing

  • $349 / €399 for the 41mm Wi-Fi model
  • $449 / €499 for the 41mm LTE model
  • $399 / €449 for the 45mm Wi-Fi model
  • $499 / €549 for the 45mm LTE model

Although official U.S. pricing has not yet been announced, the consistency in euro pricing suggests Google is unlikely to increase prices in key markets like the U.S. or the U.K.

Google Pixel Watch 4 – Expected Specs

In terms of hardware, the Pixel Watch 4 will continue using the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor, but it introduces a new co-processor designed to handle AI features such as Gemini integration more efficiently. The display is reportedly upgraded to a 3,000-nit AMOLED LTPO panel, up from the 2,000 nits found in its predecessor.

Battery capacity also sees a slight bump –

  • 327mAh for the 41mm version
  • 459mAh for the 45mm version

According to Android Headlines, these changes could help the watch deliver up to two days of battery life on a single charge.

With pricing that mirrors last year’s model and a handful of key upgrades, the Pixel Watch 4 is shaping up to be a strong contender against competitors like the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8.

WhatsApp Beta Brings AI-Powered ‘Quick Recap’ for Chats and Begins Testing Ads in Status & Channels

0

Highlights

  • WhatsApp is testing a “Quick Recap” feature to summarise messages from up to five chats simultaneously, enhancing productivity and overview clarity.
  • Ads are being tested in WhatsApp Status and Channel sections with “Sponsored” labels and options to block advertisers.
  • Ad targeting uses minimal data and excludes personal messages, while a new “Activity Report” offers ad controls, tracking and monthly exports.

WhatsApp continues to roll out features that improve conversation flow and user experience, while also exploring new ways to generate revenue. According to recent reports, two major features are currently in development. These are a Quick Recap feature for chats and in-app advertisements in the Status and Channels sections. Here’s everything we know about both features as of now.

WhatsApp Working on a New “Quick Recap” Feature

Caption – WhatsApp is testing a new feature to let users generate a summary of specific conversations. (Image credit – WABetaInfo)

WhatsApp has previously launched the stable version of “Message Summaries”, a feature that summarises unread messages in a single chat. Now, the platform is working on a more powerful addition called “Quick Recap”, which can summarise messages from multiple chats at once.

As reported by WABetaInfo, Quick Recap will allow users to select up to five conversations from the Chats tab, then tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner and select “Quick Recap.”

Like Message Summaries, this new feature relies on Meta’s Private Processing technology, which ensures that neither Meta nor WhatsApp or any third party can read the messages or their summaries.

Explaining Meta’s private processing, WABetaInfo report reads, “Private Processing ensures that the raw message content never leaves the secure enclave in a readable form, and it uses encryption and isolated computation to guarantee that neither WhatsApp nor Meta has access to either the original data or the generated recap. This extra step is crucial because it allows the app to provide sophisticated AI‑driven tools while preserving the confidentiality of private conversations and maintaining end‑to‑end encryption.”

Quick Recap will be optional and disabled by default. Moreover, it will not work with chats protected by “Advanced chat privacy.”

WABetaInfo spotted the feature in WhatsApp beta version 2.25.21.12 for Android, but it’s still under development and not available even if you’re using that version. It’s expected to roll out to beta users in future updates before a wider release.

WhatsApp Beta Also Testing Ads in Status and Channels

In a separate Android beta update version 2.25.21.11, WhatsApp has started testing in-app ads for the first time. As reported by WABetaInfo again, some beta users noticed a banner in the Updates tab introducing two new ad formats, Status Ads and Promoted Channels.

Here’s how the Ads will work –

Status Ads – These will appear among regular status updates from your contacts. They are short, vertical clips labelled “Sponsored” and behave like normal status posts. You can swipe past them quickly or block the advertiser to avoid seeing more ads from that brand.

Promoted Channels – Aimed at content creators, public figures, and brands, Promoted Channels will be displayed in the channel directory, making them easier for users to discover. These also include the “Sponsored” label to distinguish them from regular channels.

Privacy and User Control

WhatsApp emphasises that ads will not be shown in private spaces such as chats, group messages, calls, or communities, all of which remain end-to-end encrypted. Ads will appear only in the Updates tab, and no personal messages, calls, or shared status updates are used for ad targeting.

To help users manage their ad experience, WhatsApp is also introducing a new tool called the “Activity Report.” This feature allows users to see a list of ads viewed recently, block or unblock advertisers, download the report in a ZIP file and set the report to auto-generate monthly.

Ad targeting on WhatsApp will use minimal data, such as:

  • General location (city or country)
  • Language settings
  • Channels followed
  • User interaction with ads

The features are available only to a limited group of beta testers. WhatsApp plans to use feedback to refine the features before rolling them out more broadly.

FAQs

Q1. What is the new ‘Quick Recap’ feature on WhatsApp?

Answer. WhatsApp is testing a new feature to let users generate a summary of specific conversations. Quick Recap will allow users to select up to five conversations from the Chats tab, then tap the three-dot menu and select “Quick Recap.”

Q2. Where will WhatsApp start showing in-app ads and how will they appear?

Answer. Ads will appear among regular status updates and in the channel directory. Status Ads are vertical clips labelled “Sponsored,” while Promoted Channels help users discover public figures and brands more easily.

Q3. How does WhatsApp ensure privacy while displaying ads?

Answer. Ads will not be shown in private spaces such as chats, group messages, calls, or communities. Ad targeting will use minimal data like general location, language, followed channels, and user interaction with ads.

Redmi Turbo 5/POCO X8 Pro Tipped to Feature Dimensity 8500 Ultra Chipset

0

Highlights

  • The upcoming Redmi Turbo 5, expected to launch globally as POCO X8 Pro, may feature MediaTek’s new Dimensity 8500 Ultra SoC.

  • While Xiaomi may be shifting away from Qualcomm chips overall, the tipster suggests this change won’t apply to the Turbo 5/X8 Pro.

Just days after an earlier leak revealed key specifications of the upcoming Redmi Turbo 5, a new report has surfaced that may confirm the chipset powering this mid-range smartphone. The same device is expected to launch globally under the POCO brand as the POCO X8 Pro. Here’s what we know so far.

Dimensity 8500 Ultra Could Power the Redmi Turbo 5/POCO X8 Pro

In a previous report, tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that the Redmi Turbo 5 would feature a 6.6-inch display with a 1.5K resolution, curved corners and a metal middle frame. Now, a fresh leak from tipster Yogesh Brar on X (formerly Twitter) suggests that the device may be powered by MediaTek’s new Dimensity 8500 Ultra SoC.

This speculation appears plausible, especially considering that the Redmi Turbo 4 and POCO X7 Pro were both equipped with the Dimensity 8400 Ultra chipset. Given that the Redmi Turbo 5 is widely expected to launch globally as the POCO X8 Pro, Brar’s leak could also be pointing to the processor that will drive the POCO X8 Pro.

In his post, Brar further mentions that the brand is planning “a big shift away from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon,” though he clarifies this change does not apply to the upcoming Redmi Turbo 5 or POCO X8 Pro.

What this broader shift away from Snapdragon entails remains unclear especially given Xiaomi’s long-standing partnership with Qualcomm for many of its smartphones. As of now, the report remains unconfirmed and it will be best to stay tuned for more official updates.

Apple’s M5 iPad Pro to Feature Dual Front-Facing Cameras for Better Orientation Support

0

Highlights

  • Apple’s upcoming M5 iPad Pro will have a second front-facing camera on the portrait side.
  • This change addresses user complaints from the M4 model, where the landscape-only camera placement felt awkward for vertical use.
  • The M5 iPad Pro will be the first device powered by the new M5 chip with minimal design changes. M5-powered Macs are slated for release in early 2026.

Apple made a notable design change with last year’s M4 iPad Pro by shifting the front-facing camera from the top edge to the side. Now, according to a new report from Bloomberg, the upcoming M5 iPad Pro is set to bring another key update to its camera setup.

In the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman reveals, “Apple is apparently adding a second, portrait-side front-facing camera to the upcoming M5 iPad Pro, presumably so FaceTimers and selfie fans can use the device equally well in either orientation. This isn’t particularly revolutionary, but it’s a nice enhancement.”

The update appears aimed at addressing user complaints that arose after Apple relocated the front-facing camera to the landscape edge in the M4 model. Some users found the change inconvenient for video calls and selfies when holding the iPad vertically.

Interestingly, despite not seeing widespread criticism from iPad Pro users regarding the camera’s new placement, it’s still a bit surprising to see Apple taking this step. That said, adding a second front-facing camera doesn’t seem to have any real downside. While the dual-camera setup may look slightly awkward at first glance, the front camera typically blends seamlessly into the iPad Pro’s bezels.

The M5 iPad Pro is expected to launch later this year. Apart from the upgraded front-facing camera system and the faster M5 chip, no other major changes are anticipated. Notably, this will be the first Apple device powered by the M5 chip with the first M5 Macs scheduled to debut in the first half of 2026.

FAQs

Q1. What new camera feature will the M5 iPad Pro introduce?

Answer. Apple is adding a second, portrait-side front-facing camera to the upcoming M5 iPad Pro, “presumably so FaceTimers and selfie fans can use the device equally well in either orientation.”

Q2. Why is Apple adding a dual front-facing camera setup to the M5 iPad Pro?

Answer. The update appears aimed at addressing user complaints that arose after Apple relocated the front-facing camera to the landscape edge in the M4 model. Some users found the change inconvenient for video calls and selfies when holding the iPad vertically.

Q3. When will the M5 iPad Pro and M5 Macs be available?

Answer. The M5 iPad Pro is expected to launch later this year. The first M5 Macs are scheduled to debut in the first half of 2026.

The OnePlus 15T may have just made its first unofficial appearance online. A new leak has surfaced, showing what’s believed to be the upcoming compact flagship from OnePlus. This is hinting at a smaller display and slim design, possibly continuing the trend of pocket-friendly premium phones.

OnePlus 15T Appears in Leaked Image

The image comes from well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, who shared a photo on Weibo showing four compact smartphones. While DCS didn’t name any of the devices, a report from NotebookCheck suggests that the OnePlus 15T is likely the fourth phone from the right in the image.

– Digital Chat Station’s post on Weibo. (Translated via Google Translate)

Though details are still limited, this could be our first glimpse at the OnePlus 15T, which is expected to be the successor to the OnePlus 13T (also known as OnePlus 13s globally). This has been widely regarded as the brand’s first compact flagship.

Compact high-end smartphones are making a return, and OnePlus may be joining the likes of Xiaomi and Vivo in this space. DCS also mentioned that other brands like Xiaomi with 16 series and Vivo with it X300 lineup are also preparing to launch compact phones, some as early as this week.

These devices are rumoured to pack massive batteries between 6,000mAh and 7,000mAh, which is impressive given their smaller size.

OnePlus 15T – What Else to Expect?

According to the leak, some of these upcoming models might also feature upgraded fingerprint sensors. This means the phones will be moving from standard optical in-display scanners to advanced 3D ultrasonic scanners for better accuracy. Wireless charging is also said to be in the mix for these compact flagships.

For now, only the front view of the supposed OnePlus 15T is visible, and none of this is officially confirmed. But if the leaks are true, OnePlus could be preparing a compact phone with top-tier specs, a large battery, and modern features.

Q2. What battery capacity is expected in the OnePlus 15T?

Answer. These devices are rumoured to pack massive batteries between 6,000mAh and 7,000mAh, which is impressive given their smaller size.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Tipped to Feature Bigger 6.89-Inch Display with Slimmer Bezels

0

Highlights

  • The Galaxy S26 Ultra is tipped to feature a 6.89-inch screen with ultra-slim 1.15mm bezels.
  • Samsung will reportedly use a CoE OLED panel with a colour filter and black PDL, boosting brightness and efficiency.
  • The S26 Ultra may retain its 50MP and 200MP sensors and the 5,000mAh battery in a thinner body.
image

If recent reports hold any ground, we might get to see Samsung pushing display boundaries once again with its next Ultra phone. According to new leaks, the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra will have an even larger 6.89-inch screen, which is slightly up from the 6.86-inch display on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Here’s what we know so far.

Galaxy S26 Ultra to Get Bigger Screen

Trusted tipster Ice Universe on X (formerly Twitter) claims that Samsung has managed to increase the screen size without making the phone any wider. This means the phone will still be keeping it at 77.6mm. In case you are wondering how that is possible, a possible theory is by shrinking the bezels even further.

The bezels on the Galaxy S26 Ultra are expected to measure just 1.15mm, compared to 1.2mm on the S25 Ultra.

image
A look at Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra’s 1.2mm bezels. (Image credit – Samsung)

This trend of thinner bezels makes phones look more modern and sleek, something Apple and Samsung have both been working toward in recent years.

Galaxy S26 Ultra – New CoE OLED Display Tech

We have already reported that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will reportedly feature a Colour Filter on Encapsulation (CoE) OLED panel. This improves both brightness and efficiency.

Instead of using a traditional polariser, Samsung replaces it with a colour filter and swaps the standard pixel definition layer with a black PDL. This helps the screen get brighter without draining more power, which could help extend battery life.

This display technology is already being used in Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series, and it’s now making its way to the Ultra line.

Galaxy S26 Ultra – What Else We Know?

While Samsung is expected to stick with its 50MP and 200MP camera sensors, the company may focus on enhancing image quality. It will probably do that through better image processing, variable aperture and improved lenses rather than changing the hardware.

As for the battery, the Galaxy S26 Ultra might keep the same 5,000mAh capacity as before, but the phone itself is expected to be thinner.

FAQs

Q1. What is the expected screen size of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra?

Answer. The upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra will have an even larger 6.89-inch screen, which is slightly up from the 6.86-inch display on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Q2. What display technology will the Galaxy S26 Ultra use?

Answer. The Galaxy S26 Ultra will reportedly feature a Colour Filter on Encapsulation (CoE) OLED panel. This improves both brightness and efficiency.

Q3. Will the Galaxy S26 Ultra have a bigger battery than its predecessor?

Answer. The Galaxy S26 Ultra might keep the same 5,000mAh capacity as before, but the phone itself is expected to be thinner.

The phone was recently spotted on SIRIM and TUV certification sites under the model number V2511, further confirming an imminent launch.

If the leaks are accurate, the Vivo V60 could be a stylish mid-range device with strong cameras, fast charging and a fresh new software experience outside China.

UK and Germany Launches Also Coming

Honor Responds to Thickness Controversy

Meanwhile, Honor has responded with photo evidence of Magic V5’s thickness after recent controversy regarding its comparison with Galaxy Z Fold 7.

For those of you who are unaware, the Magic V5 came under scrutiny after tipster Ice Universe shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) claiming that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is thinner than the Magic V5. That came as a surprise considering the official specs list the Magic V5 at 8.8mm and the Galaxy at 8.9mm when folded.

To settle the debate, Honor has now contacted GSMArena and provided photo evidence showing the Magic V5 measured with calipers. The images confirm the official numbers, which were 8.80mm folded and 4.10mm unfolded.

Ice Universe’s measurements, however, showed 8.95mm for the Magic and 8.79mm for the Galaxy, using the Ivory White variant of the V5. This variant is slightly thinner than the other colour options that measure 9.0mm folded and 4.2mm unfolded.

Honor has now explained (via GSMArena) that its official measurements exclude removable screen protectors and small differences could be due to manufacturing tolerances and measuring variations. The company says its dimensions are based on standardised lab tes

According to the global Honor website, “Data comes from the HONOR Lab. 8.8mm refers to the thickness of the Ivory White model in the folded state. The overall thickness does not include the inner and outer screen protective films and the raised part of the camera. 217g refers to the weight of the Ivory White model excluding the inner protective film. The actual data may vary depending on configurations, manufacturing processes and measurement methods. Please refer to the actual device.”
