HMD Global has unveiled the HMD Fuse, its latest smartphone designed specifically for children. According to the company, it is the world’s first phone that can stop children from filming or sending nude content. It also prevents user from viewing or saving nude or sexual images even during livestreams through HarmBlock+ with HarmBlock AI from SafeToNet.
The device aims to address growing concerns among parents about online safety, especially as issues like cyberbullying and harmful digital exposure continue to rise.
The development of the HMD Fuse was guided by “The Better Phone Project,” an HMD initiative that gathered feedback from over 37,000 parents and children. Insights showed demand for a smartphone that could strike a balance between safety and functionality, as many existing solutions were either too restrictive or too vulnerable to online risks.
“This is more than a product,” said James Robinson, vice president of HMD Family. “It’s a safety net, a statement of intent and a response.”
HMD Fuse – Pricing and Availability
The HMD Fuse is available in a single Noir colour option. It has launched in the UK exclusively through Vodafone UK, priced at £33 per month (with an upfront cost of £30).
The smartphone will be available both in Vodafone retail stores and online via vodafone.co.uk/family.
At the heart of the HMD Fuse is HarmBlock+, an AI-powered safety system built directly into the phone’s operating system, making it tamper-proof and impossible for users to bypass.

The HMD Fuse also features an extensive parental control system that allows for:

Location Tracking – Includes real-time tracking, location history, and safe-zone alerts.
Communication Safety – Parents can whitelist approved contacts for calls and messages.
The phone is designed to grow with the child. Parents can initially configure it as a simple phone limited to calls, texts, and location tracking, then gradually enable more features, like music apps, controlled web access, and messaging as the child matures.
In terms of design, the HMD Fuse shares specifications with the HMD Fusion and comes with two interchangeable “outfits,” one of which features a foldable LED light ring around the camera for selfies.

The Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 continues with the 1+3+4 Kryo CPU configuration built on a 4nm process. The Prime Cortex-A720 core now clocks at 2.7GHz, an upgrade from the 2.5GHz on its predecessor. The three Cortex-A720 cores at 2.4GHz and four Cortex-A520 cores at 1.8GHz remain unchanged.

Qualcomm claims a 7% improvement in CPU performance. The updated Adreno GPU is also rated for a 7% boost, with gaming-focused features like Snapdragon Game Super Resolution and Adaptive Performance Engine 3.0 providing sharper visuals and smoother performance management.
Display support has been expanded to cover ultra-wide panels with resolutions up to 2,900 x 1,300 at 144Hz refresh rate, making it suitable for gaming smartphones and handheld devices. Motorola is set to launch a new pair of true wireless earbuds, the Moto Buds Loop, in India soon. Unlike typical TWS models, these earbuds feature an open-ear design paired with Swarovski stones for a touch of style.

The earbuds first made their debut earlier this year in April and were later launched in North American market in July. In terms of battery life, the earbuds offer up to 8 hours of playback, which extends to 37 hours with the charging case. A quick 10-minute charge delivers up to 3 hours of listening time.
Beyond performance, design is another standout factor. Motorola has collaborated with Swarovski to add its signature crystals to the earbuds. Portraits also get a boost with a more defined bokeh effect that separates the subject cleanly from the background. The phone isn’t equipped for elaborate wide and close-up shots, but it does a decent job. You cannot expect a pro-level performance in that aspect.
As for the front camera, the shots are sharp and it captures better skin tone accuracy. It is good for enhanced group selfies to ensure everyone stays in focus.

There’s also 10W reverse fast charging along with features like Bypass Charging and AI Smart Charging. Since the phone is aimed at gamers, Bypass charging is a useful feature.
