●      Comes with a stylish carry case

●      No in-built microphone

●      Flat audio

Sony INZONE E9 In-ear Gaming Headphones – Design

The Sony Inzone E9 sticks to an in-ear gaming earphone formula with IEM-style earbuds. The earbuds are lightweight and rounded with a rigid cable section that comfortably loops over the ears for a secure fit. The Inzone branding on the earbuds makes them look a bit flashy.

The cable length is a generous 1.8 metres, which is long enough to connect without needing an extension. Console gamers are covered too, as the length works just as well when plugged into a controller. The left and right earbuds are clearly marked.

Comfort and fit worked for us, thanks to the selection of ear tips included in the box. You get eight pairs in total, split between standard silicone tips and foam-style noise-isolating tips. Each tip is available in four different sizes from extra small to extra large.

The carrying case with two separate compartments is a good design choice. One side is for the earbuds and the other for the audio box connected by a flexible rubberised strip. Small magnetic buttons underneath snap everything shut securely.

Overall, we liked the design choices Sony has made with INZONE E9. These statement gaming headphones might be the most jazziest pair out there, but that’s exactly the point. They make a statement without being too flashy. The comfort that comes with entire design is only an added advantage.

Sony INZONE E9 In-ear Gaming Headphones – Performance

Sony Inzone E9 with 5mm dynamic drivers are tuned in a fairly flat. This means bass doesn’t hit particularly hard and can feel slightly hollow at times. Treble lacks a bit of sharpness too.

However, the Inzone E9 in games really comes alive in games. It delivers excellent clarity and detail where it matters most. The upper mids are well-tuned, allowing individual sounds to stay clearly separated even during chaotic firefights. Directional audio is especially impressive, making it easy to tell where footsteps, reloads, or grenade pins are coming from, often without needing to rely on virtual surround sound.

The tuning is clearly focused on competitive play. Sounds outside your immediate view like enemies moving behind cover or around corners are pushed forward, giving you a real advantage in shooters. It pairs brilliantly with titles like Counter-Strike 2, which isn’t surprising considering Fnatic’s involvement in shaping the sound profile.

That said, this focused tuning means the Inzone E9 isn’t the best fit for every type of game. Atmospheric horror titles or cinematic single-player RPGs don’t benefit as much, as there isn’t a lot of energy across the full frequency range. There is still some low-end presence and the highs never feel harsh, but the overall sound lacks the richness you’d get from more all-rounder gaming headsets. The custom EQ helps to a degree, though it only works when you’re using the USB-C audio box.

For someone who primarily plays shooters, whether on a PC or handheld device, the Inzone E9’s sense of space, positioning, and clarity is genuinely impressive. That’s where these in-ear gaming headphones truly shine.

Verdict – Should You Buy Sony INZONE E9 In-Ear Gaming Headphones?

Sony INZONE E9 are not just any regular headphones that you can pick for everything audio needs. These are specifically designed and tuned for FPS enthusiasts. Inzone E9 is not trying to be an all-rounder and that’s important to understand before you hit the buy button. For music, movies, podcasts, or casual content consumption, they can sound a bit flat. If you’re looking for a single pair of earphones to do everything, these probably aren’t it.

But if your main goal is competitive gaming such as the fast-paced shooters on PC, the Inzone E9 makes a lot more sense. The positional accuracy is excellent, footsteps and directional cues are clear. The overall clarity gives you a genuine edge in-game. These are lightweight and offer a secure fit that stays comfortable during long sessions. These can actually be a very practical alternative to a bulky gaming headset.

So, should you buy them? If you’re a competitive FPS player who wants precise audio in a compact in-ear form factor, then yes. The Sony Inzone E9 fits that niche very well.

Reasons To Buy

  • For FPS games
  • Easy wired connection
  • Stylish design
  • Comfortable fit

Reasons Not To Buy

  • Not ideal for general use
  • Expensive
  • No microphone

Meta Working on ‘Name Tag’ Facial Recognition Feature for Ray-Ban Smart Glasses, Report Says

0

Highlights

  • Meta is reportedly developing a “Name Tag” facial recognition feature for Ray-Ban smart glasses.
  • CEO Mark Zuckerberg is pushing it to differentiate Meta’s wearables, though rollout details remain undecided.
  • The glasses may only recognise individuals connected through Meta platforms or public accounts.

Meta is reportedly preparing to introduce a facial recognition capability for its Ray-Ban smart glasses, potentially as early as this year. According to a report by The New York Times, the feature is internally known as “Name Tag” and is designed to identify individuals and provide information about them through Meta’s AI assistant.

Sources familiar with the matter told the publication that CEO Mark Zuckerberg is pushing for the feature as a way to differentiate the company’s wearable devices and enhance the usefulness of the built-in artificial intelligence assistant.

Facial Recognition Feature on Meta Smart Glasses

image

An internal document reviewed by The New York Times indicates that Meta has been discussing the release of the Name Tag feature since early last year. The document, dated May, reveals that the company initially considered launching the feature at a conference for blind attendees before making it available to the general public. That plan ultimately did not move forward.

The same memo also referenced the “political tumult” in the United States as potentially favourable timing for a rollout

As quoted by NYT from the document originating from Meta’s Reality Labs division, “We will launch during a dynamic political environment where many civil society groups that we would expect to attack us would have their resources focused on other concerns.”

Meta is still reportedly deciding who should be identifiable through Name Tag. Options under consideration include recognising individuals connected to a user via Meta platforms, as well as people with public accounts on services like Instagram. However, the feature is not expected to allow users to look up every person they encounter.

In a statement to The New York Times, Meta said, “We’re building products that help millions of people connect and enrich their lives. While we frequently hear about the interest in this type of feature – and some products already exist in the market – we’re still thinking through options and will take a thoughtful approach if and before we roll anything out.”

Meta’s Previous Attempts at Facial Recognition

image

This is not the first time Meta has explored integrating facial recognition into consumer hardware. Reports suggest that technical hurdles and ethical considerations prevented the feature from being included in the first generation of Ray-Ban smart glasses.

Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses have previously been involved in a viral facial recognition experiment. In 2024, two Harvard students combined the glasses with the PimEyes facial recognition service to identify strangers on a Boston subway, later sharing a video of the test online.

In response, Meta highlighted that the glasses include a small white LED indicator on the top-right corner of the frame to signal when recording is in progress.

The company is also reportedly developing more advanced “super-sensing” glasses capable of continuously running cameras and sensors to log a user’s daily activities.

Meanwhile, competition in the smart glasses space is intensifying. A report from Bloomberg last year suggested that Apple is planning to introduce its own smart glasses by the end of this year. The upcoming device is said to rival Meta’s Ray-Ban models and Android XR glasses, while offering superior build quality.

FAQs

Q1. What is Meta’s “Name Tag” feature for Ray-Ban smart glasses?

Answer. “Name Tag” is a facial recognition capability being tested by Meta to identify individuals and provide information through its AI assistant.

Q2. Who would be identifiable through the Name Tag feature?

Answer. Meta is considering limiting recognition to people connected via Meta platforms or those with public accounts on services like Instagram, rather than every person encountered.

Q3. Has Meta tried facial recognition in its smart glasses before?

Answer. Yes. Technical and ethical challenges prevented inclusion in the first generation, though experiments like the 2024 PimEyes subway test showed its potential and sparked debate.

We have been hearing about Apple’s entry into the foldable smartphone space for quite some time now. While the first foldable iPhone is still some months away, new reports are emerging about a second one.

Fresh leaks suggest the Cupertino giant is testing a flip-style foldable model in addition to its widely rumoured book-style device set to debut later this year.

Flip-Style Foldable iPhone in the Making

According to a well-known leaker with the profile name “Fixed Focus Digital” on Weibo, Apple has internally tested a clamshell or flip-style foldable iPhone. The tipster, citing what is described as verifiable supply chain information, claims that the company is exploring this alternate folding form factor as part of its broader foldable strategy.

If brought to market, the flip-style iPhone would rival compact foldable smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the modern Motorola Razr lineup.

The flip-style device is said to be separate from the larger foldable iPhone expected to launch this fall. While the book-style foldable is reportedly nearing release, it remains unclear whether the clamshell variant will move into mass production. The decision on its commercial future has reportedly not yet been finalised.

Earlier this month, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman stated that Apple is “exploring” a foldable iPhone featuring a “square, clamshell-style” design. His report aligns with the latest leak suggesting Apple is actively testing such a form factor.

Book-Style Foldable iPhone Launch Expected First

Apple’s first foldable iPhone is widely expected to adopt a book-style design, unfolding horizontally to reveal a larger inner display. This will focus on delivering a tablet-like experience, making it ideal for video streaming, gaming, and multitasking.

Industry rumours suggest that Apple’s debut foldable iPhone could feature a 7.8-inch crease-free inner display and a 5.5-inch external cover screen. The device is also tipped to include Touch ID, a dual rear camera setup, Apple’s upcoming A20 chip, and the new “C2” modem.

The foldable handset is expected to launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max this fall, marking Apple’s official entry into the foldable smartphone market.

FAQs

Q1. When is Apple expected to launch its first foldable iPhone?

Answer. Apple’s first foldable iPhone, featuring a book-style design with a 7.8-inch inner display and 5.5-inch cover screen, is expected to debut this fall alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.

Q2. Is Apple working on more than one foldable iPhone design?

Answer. Yes. In addition to the book-style foldable set for release, Apple is internally testing a flip-style clamshell foldable iPhone, though its commercial future has not yet been finalised.

Q3. What features are rumoured for Apple’s debut foldable iPhone?

Answer. The book-style foldable may include Touch ID, a dual rear camera setup, Apple’s upcoming A20 chip, and the new “C2” modem, aiming to deliver a tablet-like experience for streaming, gaming, and multitasking.

iPhone 18 Pro Could Get 5G Satellite Connectivity With Apple’s C2 Modem

0

Highlights

  • The iPhone 18 Pro may introduce 5G satellite connectivity via Apple’s new C2 modem, expanding beyond current emergency‑only satellite services.
  • The C2 chip is expected to enable New Radio Non‑Terrestrial Networks, allowing direct phone‑to‑satellite links
  • Apple aims for “satellite over 5G” integration, improving efficiency in weak networks and adding privacy features.

Industry experts have already noted that 2026 could mark a key turning point as more smartphone brands adopt satellite internet technologies. While we may still not have a clearer picture of what other brands are doing, leaks are now revealing Apple’s roadmap for broader satellite-based connectivity.

Notably, emergency-only satellite services are already available on iPhones. And now, it appears the iPhone 18 Pro series may introduce 5G satellite connectivity.

Apple’s C2 Modem May Bring NR-NTN Support

image

Tipster Fixed Focus Digital’s post on Weibo. (Translated via Google Translate)

As per a Weibo post by tipster Fixed Focus Digital, Apple’s next-generation C2 baseband chip will support NR-NTN (New Radio Non-Terrestrial Networks). This technology allows smartphones to establish connections with low-Earth orbit satellites, enabling internet access in areas lacking traditional cellular infrastructure.

NR-NTN can function in two ways, either through direct phone-to-satellite communication or by using satellites as backhaul to extend carrier coverage into remote regions.

The tipster described satellite internet connectivity as one of the most significant mobile network developments of the year.

The C2 modem is expected to improve upon Apple’s first-generation C1 and C1X chips, potentially delivering better efficiency and performance in weak or congested network conditions. Reports have also pointed to tighter integration with iOS including features such as “Limit Precise Location.” It would reduce the accuracy with which carriers can determine a user’s exact position.

The Weibo post also mentioned Huawei, claiming the company publicly tested its own NR-NTN solution last year.

Satellite Over 5G – Apple’s Broader Vision

Previous reports have linked Apple Inc. to “satellite over 5G” capabilities, suggesting the company is working toward 5G networks that are not solely dependent on ground-based infrastructure. Earlier insights from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman also indicated Apple’s interest in satellite-enabled 5G coverage, though his reporting focused more on carrier backhaul scenarios rather than direct consumer connectivity.

As of now, iPhone 14 models and newer devices offer limited satellite-based features such as Emergency SOS, Find My, Messages, and roadside assistance. These services require a clear view of the sky and are primarily designed for emergency use.

FAQs

Q1. What new connectivity feature is expected in the iPhone 18 Pro?

Answer. The iPhone 18 Pro may introduce 5G satellite connectivity powered by Apple’s upcoming C2 modem, expanding beyond current emergency‑only satellite services.

Q2. What technology will the Apple’s C2 modem support?

Answer. It is tipped to support NR‑NTN (New Radio Non‑Terrestrial Networks), enabling direct phone‑to‑satellite communication or satellite backhaul to extend carrier coverage.

Q3. How will the Apple C2 modem improve user experience compared to earlier chips?

Answer. The C2 is expected to deliver better efficiency in weak or congested networks, tighter iOS integration, and privacy features like “Limit Precise Location.”

High-resolution press images of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26, Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus, and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra have surfaced online. These images offer the clearest look yet at Samsung’s next-generation flagship lineup.

The leaked renders, shared by well-known tipster Evan Blass, showcase the three premium smartphones in multiple colour options and from various angles. While leaks ahead of major launches have become common, this batch provides the most detailed preview so far of the Galaxy S26 series.

Galaxy S26 Series Colour Options Revealed

According to the leak, all three Galaxy S26 variants will be available in Black, Cobalt Violet, Sky Blue and White colour options.

At this stage, no online-exclusive colourways have been revealed. However, earlier information from the same source suggested that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could launch in six colours in total, with the two additional shades being Pin Gold and Silver Shadow.

Each colour option appears to feature a matching frame. Notably, current evidence indicates that the Galaxy S26 Ultra may adopt an aluminium frame instead of titanium, though such material details cannot be confirmed solely through renders.

Design Changes and S Pen Redesign

The leaked images suggest subtle but noticeable design refinements across the lineup. The camera rings are now integrated within a raised camera bump rather than sitting individually on the rear panel.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra appears to feature rounder corners compared to its predecessor, along with a redesigned S Pen that reportedly includes a tilted clicker button.

Galaxy S26 Ultra Specifications (Leaked)

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is tipped to continue Samsung’s legacy as a camera-centric flagship. The device is expected to feature a 200-megapixel primary camera, 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom, 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, 10-megapixel 3x optical zoom telephoto camera and 12-megapixel front-facing camera

The smartphone is said to sport a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB. The device is expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery.

Galaxy S26+ and Standard Galaxy S26 Specifications (Leaked)

The Galaxy S26 Plus is rumoured to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to run on the Exynos 2,600 chipset, paired with 12GB RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB.

The camera setup is tipped to include a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 10-megapixel 3x optical zoom telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel third camera. On the front, a 12-megapixel selfie shooter is expected. The device could house a 4,900mAh battery.

The standard Galaxy S26 is said to share most of its specifications with the S26 Plus. However, it is expected to feature a smaller 6.3-inch AMOLED display and a 4,300mAh battery.

Samsung is expected to officially unveil the Galaxy S26 lineup on February 25 during its Unpacked event in San Francisco.

YouTube Rolls Out Native App for Apple Vision Pro with 8K and Immersive Video Support

Highlights

  • YouTube has released a dedicated app for Apple Vision Pro, replacing the limited Safari workaround.
  • The new app supports 8K playback exclusively on Vision Pro M5, 3D 360° and VR180 videos, redesigned spatial UI, gesture controls and theatre‑style viewing.

YouTube has officially released a dedicated app for the Apple Vision Pro. This addresses one of the most notable absences on the platform since its debut in February 2024. With the arrival of a native app for visionOS, users can now access YouTube directly through an optimised spatial experience. Here are more details.

Native YouTube App Arrives on visionOS

At launch, YouTube was among the major platforms missing from Apple’s headset ecosystem. That changes today, as Vision Pro users can finally stream YouTube content through a fully integrated visionOS application rather than relying on a web browser.

image

The new app enables viewers to watch their favourite content including traditional videos and YouTube Shorts on a large, theatre-style virtual display within an immersive digital environment.

The visionOS app supports the full breadth of YouTube’s catalogue. This includes standard rectangular videos, Shorts, and immersive formats such as 3D 360-degree and VR180 videos. Users signing into the app gain full account access including subscriptions, playlists, and watch history, ensuring a seamless experience across devices.

A notable hardware-specific enhancement is support for 8K video playback. This feature is exclusive to the Vision Pro M5 model, leveraging its upgraded processor to manage the higher rendering and bandwidth demands required for ultra-high-resolution content.

YouTube App For Vision Pro Optimised for Spatial Viewing

The user interface has been redesigned for a spatial computing environment, focusing on a “lean back” viewing experience. Videos appear prominently in front of the user, while the surrounding physical or virtual space dims to reduce distractions.

Immersive content is a major highlight of the app. With 360-degree video support, users are placed at the centre of the experience rather than watching through a traditional flat frame. Gesture-based controls also allow viewers to resize windows and scrub through videos naturally within the spatial interface.

From Web-Only to Native Experience

When the Apple Vision Pro initially launched, YouTube chose not to develop a native app and instead directed users to access the platform via Safari. This web-based workaround lacked several core features including offline downloads, limiting its usefulness for travel or offline viewing.

In the meantime, third-party apps such as Juno briefly surfaced on visionOS but were eventually removed for violating YouTube’s Terms of Service.

The release of the native app comes at an interesting time. Initial excitement around the Vision Pro seems to have cooled. Despite Apple introducing Apple Intelligence-powered features nearly a year ago, engagement with the device has reportedly remained modest. According to the Financial Times, production was halted amid weak demand, leading to scaled-back marketing efforts in major markets.

Availability

The YouTube app for Apple Vision Pro is now available for download from the visionOS App Store and supports Vision Pro models powered by both the M2 and M5 chips.

FAQs

Q1. What does the new YouTube app bring to Apple Vision Pro users?

Answer. It provides a native visionOS experience, allowing direct access to YouTube with full account features like subscriptions, playlists, and watch history.

Q2. What video formats and features are supported in the app?

Answer. The app supports standard videos, Shorts, immersive formats like 3D 360° and VR180, plus 8K playback exclusive to the Vision Pro M5 model.

Q3. How is the app optimised for spatial viewing?

Answer. The interface is redesigned for a “lean back” experience, with theatre‑style displays, dimmed surroundings, gesture controls, and immersive 360° video placement.
