Apple has officially moved the iPhone 11 Pro Max and the entire Apple Watch Series 3 lineup to its vintage products list. This was first noticed and reported by MacRumors in one of its recent reports. Interestingly, only the 6.5-inch iPhone 11 Pro Max has been added and the smaller the 5.8-inch iPhone 11 Pro is not included in the update. Here’s more on that.

Apple’s Updates Vintage Product List

Apple classifies products as vintage five years after they are discontinued. While this label doesn’t immediately affect users, Apple may still provide hardware service and replacement parts where available. However, once a device reaches 10 years after discontinuation, it transitions to the obsolete category. This means Apple will stop offering any official support.

Despite being categorised as vintage, the iPhone 11 Pro Max remains compatible with the latest iOS 26 software, ensuring it still functions smoothly for users.

The Apple Watch Series 3 also joins the vintage list today, a little over eight years after its launch in September 2017. The smartwatch had an unusually long lifespan in Apple’s lineup, remaining on sale until September 2022 as a budget-friendly option. Remarkably, it was still available while watchOS 9 was in beta testing, even though that software update was not supported on the device.

Its longevity is further highlighted by the fact that the Apple Watch Series 4 was moved to the vintage category before the Series 3, despite launching a year later.

Here’s the complete list of products Apple has just labelled as vintage –

  • iPhone 11 Pro Max
  • Apple Watch Series 3 Aluminium (38mm)
  • Apple Watch Series 3 Aluminium (42mm)
  • Apple Watch Series 3 Edition (Ceramic, 38mm)
  • Apple Watch Series 3 Edition (Ceramic, 42mm)
  • Apple Watch Series 3 Hermès (38mm
  • Apple Watch Series 3 Hermès (42mm)
  • Apple Watch Series 3 Nike (38mm)
  • Apple Watch Series 3 Nike (42mm)
  • Apple Watch Series 3 Stainless Steel (38mm)
  • Apple Watch Series 3 Stainless Steel (42mm)

FAQs

Q1. What does it mean when Apple labels a product as “vintage”?

Q2. Which devices were recently added to Apple’s vintage list?

Answer. Apple has added the iPhone 11 Pro Max and all variants of the Apple Watch Series 3, including Aluminium, Ceramic Edition, Hermès, Nike, and Stainless Steel models in both 38mm and 42mm sizes.

Q3. Can vintage Apple devices still run the latest software?

Answer. Yes, the iPhone 11 Pro Max remains compatible with iOS 26. However, the Apple Watch Series 3 was not supported by watchOS 9, despite being sold during its beta phase.

A leaked unboxing video has given the first full look at Apple’s upcoming iPad Pro powered by the new M5 chip. The video was uploaded on YouTube by the Russian channel Wylsacom and it showcases the unannounced device in detail.

About the authenticity of this source, this isn’t the first time the channel has revealed Apple products early. Wylsacom previously leaked the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M4 chip before its official launch. Adding more credibility to the leak, Bloomberg’s reliable Apple reporter Mark Gurman also shared the video link on X (formerly Twitter).

M5 iPad Pro Leaked Unboxing

The unboxing video suggests that the model in question is a 13-inch iPad Pro featuring the M5 chip, 256GB of storage, and a sleek Space Black finish. From the outside, the design looks almost identical to the M4 iPad Pro with familiar elements such as a single rear camera, four-speaker setup, and Smart Connector still present. Apple also seems to have maintained the device’s ultra-thin 5.1mm profile.

One small design change is noticeable, which shows the word “iPad Pro” is no longer engraved on the back of the tablet.

Performance upgrades appear to be the highlight of this generation. Geekbench 6 benchmarks displayed in the video show that the M5 chip delivers up to 12% better multi-core CPU performance compared to the M4 chip. Like its predecessor, it comes with a 9-core CPU configuration, three performance cores and six efficiency cores. The GPU has seen a bigger leap, offering up to 36% faster graphics performance than the M4, based on the Metal score.

Another important upgrade is in memory. The benchmark reveals that the 256GB iPad Pro variant now includes 12GB of RAM, matching the iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. In comparison, the M4 iPad Pro with 256GB storage was limited to just 8GB of RAM.

The device in the video is shown running iPadOS 26, and the Settings app indicates its battery was manufactured in August 2025.

Beyond the M5 chip, rumours have suggested that the next iPad Pro could feature a second front-facing camera to improve video calls in both portrait and landscape orientations. However, the leaked unit does not clearly display this addition.

Apple is widely expected to officially unveil the iPad Pro with the M5 chip in October.

You can check the full unboxing video below –

OpenAI Brings Instant Checkout to ChatGPT with Stripe-Powered Agentic Commerce Protocol

0

Highlights

  • OpenAI introduces Stripe-powered Instant Checkout via ChatGPT, enabling users to buy products directly during chat-based discovery.
  • It is available to U.S. ChatGPT users across Free, Plus, and Pro tiers, starting with Etsy sellers.
  • Shopify merchants will join soon with global expansion planned.

OpenAI has rolled out Instant Checkout inside ChatGPT, marking its first major step into AI-powered shopping. The feature is powered by the Agentic Commerce Protocol and integrated with Stripe, making it possible for users to purchase products directly within the chat interface.

According to OpenAI, more than 700 million people use ChatGPT weekly for tasks such as product discovery, and Instant Checkout aims to streamline the process from browsing to buying. Announcing the feature, OpenAI wrote, “ChatGPT already helps millions of people find what to buy. Now it can help them buy it too. We’re introducing Instant Checkout in ChatGPT with @Etsy and @Shopify, and open-sourcing the Agentic Commerce Protocol that powers it, built with @Stripe, so more merchants and developers can integrate agentic checkout.”

Agentic Commerce Protocol Explained

The Agentic Commerce Protocol has been open-sourced by OpenAI, giving merchants and developers the tools to build integrations. Co-developed with Stripe and leading retail partners, the protocol is secure, platform-agnostic, and simple to deploy. It represents a new era of agentic commerce, where ChatGPT not only helps users discover products but also facilitates the final purchase.

With this system, users can move from conversation to checkout in just a few taps, while merchants maintain complete control over payments, fulfilment, and customer relationships.

How Instant Checkout Works?

When users ask for recommendations such as “best running shoes under $100” or “gifts for a ceramics enthusiast,” ChatGPT surfaces relevant results from across the web. These listings are organic, unsponsored, and ranked only by relevance.

If an item is available for Instant Checkout, users can tap “Buy,” confirm order details, shipping, and payment information, and complete the transaction without leaving the chat.

Subscribers can pay using saved cards or other supported payment methods.

Merchants continue to process orders, payments, and fulfilment using their existing systems. ChatGPT acts only as a secure intermediary, sharing the minimal data required. Merchants are charged a small fee for successful transactions, while users pay no extra cost. Importantly, product ranking remains unaffected by payments.

image

What makes this secure –

  • Users must explicitly confirm each purchase.
  • Payments are encrypted and authorised for specific amounts and merchants.
  • Only essential data is shared to finalise the order.

Merchant Integration

For businesses, enabling Instant Checkout is straightforward. Merchants already using Stripe can turn on agentic payments with just one line of code. Those relying on other processors can still participate via Stripe’s Shared Payment Token API or the Delegated Payments Spec in the Agentic Commerce Protocol, without altering their current systems.

Availability

Instant Checkout is currently rolling out to U.S. ChatGPT Plus, Pro, and Free users, starting with direct purchases from U.S. Etsy sellers. Soon, more than one million Shopify merchants, including major names like Glossier, SKIMS, Spanx, and Vuori, will also be onboarded.

At launch, the feature supports single-item purchases with multi-item carts and support for more regions coming in future updates. Merchants who wish to make their products available through ChatGPT can apply directly via the official site.

FAQs

Q1. What is Instant Checkout in ChatGPT?

Answer. Instant Checkout lets users buy products directly within ChatGPT, powered by the Agentic Commerce Protocol and integrated with Stripe for secure payments.

Q2. How does the Agentic Commerce Protocol benefit merchants?

Answer. It’s an open-source, platform-agnostic system that allows merchants to integrate checkout with minimal effort, while retaining full control over payments and fulfilment.

Q3. Who can use ChatGPT Instant Checkout and where is it available?

Answer. It’s currently rolling out to U.S. ChatGPT Free, Plus, and Pro users, starting with Etsy sellers, with Shopify merchants joining soon and global expansion planned.

Nothing Phone 4a Pro Spotted on IMEI Database, Tipped for Early 2026 Launch

0

Highlights

  • Nothing Phone 4a Pro with model number A069P spotted on the IMEI database.
  • It suggests Nothing Phone 4a Pro is in development, likely launching in Q1 2026 alongside the 4a.
  • The Pro variant may offer enhanced cameras, a premium build, and features like eSIM and periscope zoom.

It appears the London-based brand, Nothing, may already be working on its next set of midrange smartphones. Fresh evidence suggests that the arrival of the Nothing Phone 4a lineup is probably closer. Here’s all we know about it so far.

Nothing Phone 4a Pro Spotted on IMEI

According to an exclusive report by Smartprix, a Nothing device carrying the model number A069P has appeared on the IMEI database.

image

Caption – Nothing Phone (4a) Pro on IMEI. (Screenshot by Smartprix)

For context, the Nothing Phone 3a Pro was listed under model number A059P, strongly suggesting that this new listing could belong to the Nothing Phone 4a Pro. While this leak doesn’t confirm the identity of the device, it gives the first hint of the company’s upcoming midrange series.

Smartprix further predicts that the standard Nothing Phone 4a could carry the model number A069, keeping in line with the naming pattern. If Nothing sticks to its release cycle, both the 4a and 4a Pro may launch sometime in the first quarter of 2026.

Nothing Phone 4a Lineup – What to Expect?

At present, there are no details on the hardware specifications of the Phone 4a Pro. However, if Nothing continues its previous strategy, the Pro version is likely to feature camera enhancements and premium materials. We can expect something similar to how the Phone 3a Pro stood out with better optics and an upgraded build compared to the regular 3a.

Looking back at the Nothing Phone 3a series gives an idea of what to expect. The Nothing Phone 3a came with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, a 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, a 50 MP main + 50 MP 2× telephoto camera setup, a 5000 mAh battery with 50W charging, and Nothing’s signature Glyph Interface. Meanwhile, the Phone 3a Pro targeted photography enthusiasts with a 50 MP Periscope Telephoto lens (3× optical zoom), a 50 MP front camera, and eSIM support.

One key issue with the 3a series was its availability in the US, where it was sold under a “Beta Program.” This program offered limited warranty, returns, and support, which turned away many potential buyers. By contrast, the Nothing Phone 3 and Nothing Phone 2 were sold through standard channels with full support.

Consumers in the US will be hoping Nothing changes its approach for the Nothing Phone 4a and 4a Pro, making them more widely available with regular sales and warranty coverage. If Nothing repeats its launch timeline, we can expect the midrange duo to debut around March 2026.

FAQs

Q1. What is the Nothing Phone 4a Pro and how was it spotted?

Answer. The Nothing Phone 4a Pro was identified via an IMEI database listing under model number A069P, hinting at its development and likely launch in early 2026.

Q2. When is the Nothing Phone 4a series expected to launch?

Answer. If Nothing follows its usual release cycle, both the Phone 4a and 4a Pro are expected to debut globally around March 2026, following the pattern of the 3a series.

Q3. What upgrades might the Nothing Phone 4a Pro offer?

Answer. Based on past trends, the Pro variant may include camera enhancements, premium materials, and features like eSIM support and periscope zoom, similar to the 3a Pro.

Swollen Galaxy Ring Battery Raises Safety Fears, Tech Influencer Hospitalised After Ring Stuck on Finger

0

Highlights

  • Tech influencer hospitalised after his Galaxy Ring’s battery swelled, causing it to get stuck and distort internally.
  • Samsung acknowledged the case and contacted the influencer.
  • The wearable’s tight fit raises serious safety risks if battery failure occurs.

A frightening incident involving the Samsung Galaxy Ring has surfaced online. YouTuber and tech influencer Daniel Rotar shared his experience of the smart ring’s battery swelling, which left him hospitalised. Here’s our report.

Samsung Galaxy Ring Gets Stuck on Finger

image image image

Caption – Samsung Galaxy Ring stuck on finger. (Image credit – @ZONEofTECH on X)

Rotar @ZONEofTECH posted about the ordeal on X (formerly Twitter), explaining that the battery began swelling just before he was about to board a flight. The swelling caused the ring to get stuck on his finger, resulting in severe discomfort. Sharing pictures of the bloated Galaxy Ring, he wrote, “I cannot take it off, and this thing hurts.”

Due to the emergency, Rotar was denied boarding and sent to the hospital, where the ring was eventually removed with the help of ice and “medical lubricant.” He mentioned that attempting to use water and soap only made the situation worse as the swelling grew more severe. Once removed, the inside of the ring appeared distorted and even started separating from the case, a detail that raised further safety concerns.

Summing up his experience, Rotar remarked, “Won’t be wearing a smart ring ever again.”

Possible Causes Behind the Battery Swelling

In replies to users on X, Rotar speculated that Hawaii’s hot climate, exposure to saltwater, multiple flights, or a faulty battery could have triggered the expansion. He also noted that his Galaxy Ring had started showing battery drain issues just before the incident, suggesting the malfunctioning battery was likely the cause.

Interestingly, this is not the first reported case. Another user had earlier shared a similar Galaxy Ring swelling issue on social media, where the device was less than a month old. That case also showed the same pressure build-up pattern inside the ring, different from the “pillow” style expansion seen in most smartphone batteries.

Rotar mentioned that he had been using his Galaxy Ring since January 2025, making this failure particularly alarming for a relatively new device.

Samsung Responds

When contacted by 9to5Google, Samsung reportedly said, “The safety of our customers is a top priority and we are in direct contact with this user to learn more about their concerns. While experiences like this are extremely rare, there are a few ways to attempt removing a stuck ring, including soap and water – or submerging your hand in cold water. If these methods do not work, additional information is provided on our Samsung Support page.”

The company has already reached out to Rotar directly through social media.

Why is it concerning?

While all electronic devices with batteries carry some risk of swelling, the fact that the Galaxy Ring is worn tightly around the finger makes such incidents particularly dangerous. As Rotar’s experience shows, a malfunction in this wearable could quickly escalate into a medical emergency.

The Samsung Galaxy Ring was first launched in October 2024 in India as a smart health monitoring accessory. It gained early popularity, but incidents like this raise questions about long-term safety and reliability in daily use.

FAQs

Q1. What happened with the Galaxy Ring that caused a safety scare?

Answer. Tech influencer Daniel Rotar experienced a swollen Galaxy Ring battery that got stuck on his finger, causing pain and requiring hospital removal with medical aid.

Q2. What might have caused the Galaxy Ring battery to swell?

Answer. Rotar speculated that heat, saltwater exposure, multiple flights, or a faulty battery could have triggered the swelling. He also noticed battery drain before the incident.

Q3. How did Samsung respond to the Galaxy Ring incident?

Answer. Samsung stated that customer safety is a top priority and confirmed they are in direct contact with Rotar. They also shared ring removal tips via their support page.

OnePlus has officially confirmed that the OnePlus 15 will launch globally soon, following its scheduled debut in China this October. Alongside, the company will also introduce the OnePlus Ace 6, a sub-flagship device powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Here’s more on the upcoming phone and its global debut.

OnePlus 15 – Sand Storm Edition For the International Market

image image image image

A look at OnePlus 15 Sand Storm variant. (Image credit – OnePlus)

OnePlus’ global division has revealed that the OnePlus 15 will be available in a special “Sand Storm” colour variant, inspired by desert landscapes. This edition uses aerospace-grade Micro-Arc Oxidation technology, a high-voltage plasma process that forms a ceramic layer on the mid-frame and camera module.

According to OnePlus, this ceramic coating is 3.4 times stronger than aluminium and 1.3 times tougher than titanium, while being more environmentally friendly compared to traditional manufacturing.

The announcement comes amid durability concerns with other premium devices. Apple, for instance, has faced criticism over visible wear around the camera area on some early iPhone 17 Pro units, an issue OnePlus clearly aims to avoid with its tougher material approach.

The Sand Storm edition also introduces a feather-light fibreglass back, combining the cool texture of ceramic with a smooth grip for improved comfort. The goal is to offer durability without compromising on design refinement.

OnePlus 15 – Performance and Hardware

Under the hood, the OnePlus 15 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, making it one of the first global smartphones to feature the chip. The device will also come with OnePlus’ upgraded cooling system, designed to maintain consistent performance during demanding gaming or multitasking sessions.

OnePlus 15 – Camera Samples and Rumoured Setup

Meanwhile, OnePlus’ China team has shared the first official camera samples of the OnePlus 15.

While the company has not yet disclosed the complete specifications, reports suggest the phone will include a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP Samsung JN5 periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

The system will be enhanced by OnePlus’ in-house DetailMax Engine for improved clarity and detail.

OnePlus Ace 6 and Possible India Variant

Alongside the flagship, OnePlus is also preparing to launch the Ace 6 in China. Industry speculation suggests a rebranded version of the Ace 6 could debut in India as the OnePlus 15R, though the company has yet to officially confirm this.

FAQs

Q1.  What is special about the Sand Storm Edition of the OnePlus 15?

Answer. The Sand Storm Edition features a desert-inspired design with Micro-Arc Oxidation ceramic coating, making it 3.4x stronger than aluminium and 1.3x tougher than titanium, while offering a lightweight fibreglass back for comfort.

Q2. What chipset powers the OnePlus 15?

Answer. The OnePlus 15 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with an upgraded cooling system for sustained performance during gaming and multitasking.

Q3. What camera setup is expected on the OnePlus 15?

Answer. It’s rumoured to include a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP Samsung JN5 periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, enhanced by the DetailMax Engine for clarity.

Live Photos and Motion Photos

WhatsApp now lets users share Live Photos (iOS) and Motion Photos (Android) that capture both movement and sound. When sent or received, these photos briefly animate, much like when browsing through the iOS photo album. A small Live Photo indicator appears in the top-left corner, and tapping it also plays the recorded audio.

The rollout for Live Photos support is still ongoing, as some iOS users report they can receive but not yet send them.

AI-powered Chat Themes

Users can now generate custom chat themes using Meta AI, offering more ways to personalise conversations. (Availability may vary.) WhatsApp explained, “Earlier this year we introduced chat themes as a way to customize your chats. You can now use the power of Meta AI to boost your creativity  and make custom chat themes of your own. (Meta AI features may not be available to all users.)”

New Sticker Packs

WhatsApp has introduced fresh sticker packs such as Fearless Bird and Vacation, giving users more expressive ways to communicate. Users can download sticker packs and use the characters to visualise in a fun how they are feeling without having to say anything.

Easier Group Search

Group names can sometimes be hard to recall. Now, by searching for a contact in the Chats tab, users can quickly see all groups they share with that person. “Now, just search for someone you know that’s in the group in your Chats tab, and it will display the groups you have in common,” WhatsApp writes.

Realme has quietly launched the Realme P3 Lite 4G through an online retailer in Poland. The device closely resembles the Realme C71 rather than the C75 4G, even though in certain markets the C75 5G is sold as the “Realme P3 Lite 5G.” While there is no clarity which model is being rebranded as P3 Lite 4G, here’s everything we know about the model based on a listing on a Polish retailer.

Realme P3 Lite 4G – Pricing and Availability (Poland)

The Realme P3 Lite 4G (8GB + 256GB) is listed at PLN 600, which roughly converts to €140 / $165. Surprisingly, this is the exact same price as the Realme C71 4G (8/256GB), which arguably offers slightly better value.

To add more confusion, the Realme C75 4G (8/256GB) is also priced identically and features a 6.72-inch 1080p+ LCD with 90Hz refresh rate, a Helio G92 Max chipset, and 45W charging on its 6,000mAh battery.

With such overlapping pricing, Realme’s lineup may leave buyers puzzled about which model provides the best balance of performance and features.

On the front, the device sports a 6.67-inch 120Hz LCD display, but with only 720p+ resolution. The punch-hole selfie camera carries a modest 5MP sensor. At the back, there’s a single 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture, capable of 1080p video recording.

Powering the phone is a 6,000mAh battery, though charging speeds are limited to 15W. In comparison, the Realme C71 supports up to 45W charging and comes with either a 6,000mAh or 6,300mAh battery depending on the market. According to the EU Energy Label, the P3 Lite can deliver nearly 66 hours of use on a single charge with durability rated for at least 1,000 charging cycles.

The phone has an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, measures 7.79mm in thickness, and weighs 196 grams.

The Realme P3 Lite 4G includes 360° NFC, allowing easier contactless payments at checkout terminals. It also supports Google Gemini and comes with an AI Eraser tool. Interestingly, the device can detect water splashes and uses ultrasonic frequencies in its speakers to help push water out faster.
