Digital Chat Station in the Weibo post claims this will be MediaTek’s first chip to feature a full-core CPU design based on the new X930 ultra-core architecture.
Travis and Alto are reportedly based on Arm’s new Cortex-X9 design with SME support, while Gelas is from the next-gen A7 family. This marks a shift from the Cortex-X4 setup used in the Dimensity 9400. The chip is built on TSMC’s advanced N3P 3nm process, promising better performance and efficiency.
For graphics, the Dimensity 9500 uses a Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 GPU, featuring the new Immortalis-Drage architecture. It brings enhanced ray tracing and improved efficiency. However, in this early stage, the GPU is clocked at just 1MHz, which kept the Geekbench GPU score at a low 15,717. MediaTek is expected to finalise GPU tuning next month.
Other Key Features –
- Supports up to 4x LPDDR5x RAM at 10,667Mbps
- UFS 4.1 storage with 4-lane interface
- 16MB of L3 cache and 10MB system-level cache for better multitasking and data flow
Some reports suggest the Dimensity 9500 might score over 4 million on AnTuTu, making it one of the most powerful mobile chipsets to date.
MediaTek is expected to officially unveil the Dimensity 9500 in September. The first phones to use it could include the Vivo X300 series and Oppo Find X9 series.
