Huawei has launched its latest flagship smartphones, the Pura 70 series, globally after their initial debut in China.
The camera-centric phones are now available for pre-order in select European countries, with regular sales commencing on May 22.
For international markets, Huawei has introduced three models from the Pura 70 lineup: the standard Pura 70, the Pura 70 Pro, and the top-tier Pura 70 Ultra.
The Pura 70 Pro Plus remains exclusive to China.
The Pura 70 series boasts impressive camera capabilities, with the Ultra model featuring a 1-inch sensor and a retractable lens mechanism for optimized light capture and sleek design.
All three phones offer adaptive refresh rates, exceptional display brightness, and robust water and dust protection.
The specs above should give you some idea of what the Pura 70 series is all about.
Even with US sanctions in play, it is nothing short of a miracle that Huawei managed to churn out a smartphone at all, let alone one that is clearly in the flagship territory.
For the global market, the Pura 70 lineup ships with EMUI 14.2 based on Android, while the Chinese variants run Huawei’s proprietary Harmony OS 4.2.
Unfortunately what the device packs in hardware power, it equally lacks in the software department.
For people living in China, there will be no issue of course since a lot of Google services used in most of the world were never allowed in the country.
As such, global users will find themselves devoid of apps for Google, YouTube, WhatsApp, and more.
If that is a compromise you can live with, then go ahead and consider the Pura 70 series as your next smartphone of choice.
