BoAt, which is mostly known for personal audio devices, is gradually making its presence felt in the smart wearable segment too. The homegrown brand has now come up with yet another smartwatch called Wave Connect, which is its first square dial Bluetooth calling timepiece, having an introductory price of Rs 2,499.
The all-new BoAt Wave Connect smartwatch comes equipped with a large crisp HD display, a built-in speaker for voice calls and Alexa on board for a truly smart experience. The smart wearable is crafted with premium alloys and its square dial design resonates with a great aesthetic appeal.
Specifications and features
Complementing the square dial design is a large, crisp and bright 1.69-inch HD display and a premium liquid silicone wristband for a comfortable fit all day long, said BoAt in a statement. The premium in-built speaker and mic for Bluetooth Calling offers a smooth voice calling experience allowing you to connect with your friends and family right from your wrist without the need to touch your smartphone. The inbuilt speaker allows you to converse with Alexa who is also equipped to talk back to you.
The smartwatch also comes with several easy-to-use health and fitness-related features. With an in-built heart rate sensor, SpO2, and stress level tracker, users can track heart rate, steps, blood oxygen level, distance travelled as well as calories burnt to prioritize their overall wellbeing. A sleep tracker also gives accurate insights into light or deep sleeping patterns.
Over 60 active sports modes with auto-detection (for walking and running) on the smartwatch ensure that users can track all their activities, be it’s various sports, Zumba or intense weight training. An on-board ambient sound detection algorithm automatically senses high decibel level exposures and helps you navigate away from high-stress environments.
Apart from these, the built-in sedentary and hydration alerts lead you towards a more active lifestyle and remind you to stay hydrated all through the day.
In terms of power, the BoAt Wave Connect comes with a monstrous battery backup of up to 7 days without BT calling and up to 2 days with the voice calling functionality being used.
As for protection, the device comes with an IP68 rating, which makes it sweat and dust resistance and can be used worry-free during the harshest of workouts and weather conditions.
The smart wearable works seamlessly with Google Fit and Apple Health. You can also download the BoAt Wave app to further enhance the capabilities of your smartwatch and access over 100 cloud-based watch faces.
Recent launches
The company recently launched Wave Neo smartwatch, which features an Apple-like square-shaped case. SpO2 sensor, 24/7 heart rate sensor, 10 sports mode, 2.5D glass and supports, and more are prominent features of the Wave Neo smartwatch. The timepiece is priced at Rs 1,799 and is available for sale via Flipkart in Black, Blue, and Burgundy colour options.
The BoAt Primia, Airdopes 411 ANC, BoAt Blaze smartwatch, and Boat Matrix are prominent products introduced by the popular earwear brand since January 2022. Matrix is first smartwatch with a stunning Always on High-Definition AMOLED screen.
The BoAt Matrix smartwatch is available on Amazon and the Boat website for purchase. It comes in Ocean Blue, Pitch Black and Twilight Grey. The company offers one year warranty and seven days of replacement on its purchase.
