Xiaomi has officially unveiled the new-generation Xiaomi SU7 series, expanding its presence in the electric vehicle segment. The fully electric sedan is being positioned as “The Driver’s Car for a New Era” and lineup includes three variants. These are Standard, Pro, and Max with starting prices of RMB 219,900, RMB 249,900, and RMB 303,900, respectively.

The latest generation brings significant upgrades in safety, driving performance, connectivity, and overall design, aiming to deliver a more refined and intelligent driving experience. Here are more details.

SU7 Electric Sedan – Design and Exterior Upgrades

The new-generation Xiaomi SU7 continues to reflect the characteristics of a luxury C-segment sedan, maintaining its signature dimensions of 5 meters in length, 2 meters in width, and a 3-meter wheelbase. Signature elements such as the waterdrop headlights and halo taillights have been retained, reinforcing the design identity established by the first-generation model.

Xiaomi has introduced notable exterior refinements, particularly in colour options and craftsmanship, allowing for greater personalisation. The new SU7 is offered in nine exterior colours including returning shades like Mineral Grey, Pearl White, Brilliant Magenta, and Radiant Purple.

It also borrows Obsidian Black from the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra and Dawn Pink from the Xiaomi YU7, while adding three new finishes, Coastal Blue, Blazing Red, and Viridian Green.

Another key upgrade is the redesigned air intake grille, which now features a cleaner and sportier look with an enlarged C-shaped surround and wider brake-cooling ducts. The integration of a 4D millimeter-wave radar within the grille enhances both aerodynamics and intelligent sensing.

Additionally, the lineup offers six wheel options including three new designs for further customisation.

SU7 Electric Sedan – Interior, Comfort and Features

Inside, the new-generation SU7 gets a comprehensive redesign with premium materials and improved craftsmanship. The cabin is available in four colour schemes, Twilight Red, Mist Purple, Midnight Black, and Cream Beige.

The front seats feature a dual-style design with standard ventilation and heating across all variants. The driver’s seat now comes with 18-way power adjustment, cushion extension, active side bolsters, and a 60mm extendable leg rest. The front passenger seat offers an optional 123° zero-gravity mode with a dedicated massage function for enhanced comfort.

Rear seat passengers also benefit from upgrades, including thicker cushioning, an additional 20mm foam layer, improved recline angle up to 121°, and redesigned headrests for better support and comfort during long journeys.

The vehicle also introduces an electric front trunk with a capacity of 105 litres, capable of fitting a standard 20-inch carry-on suitcase. It supports eight opening methods including app control, voice commands, and remote key access.

SU7 Electric Sedan – Performance, Battery, and Charging

Powering the new-generation Xiaomi SU7 is the Xiaomi HyperEngine V6s Plus across all variants. The motor delivers a maximum rotational speed of 22,000 rpm, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in as little as 3.08 seconds and a top speed of 265 km/h.

The sedan uses CTB (Cell-to-Body) integrated battery technology, achieving a volumetric efficiency of up to 83.9 percent. This results in impressive driving ranges, 720km (Standard), 902km (Pro), and 835km (Max) under CLTC conditions.

Efficiency has also been enhanced with an energy transfer rate of up to 94 percent with consumption as low as 11.7 kWh/100 km. The charging system supports ultra-fast charging, delivering up to 670km of range in just 15 minutes, while a 10 to 80 percent charge can be completed in as little as 12 minutes with a peak charging rate of 5.2C.

SU7 Electric Sedan – Price and Availability

The new-generation Xiaomi SU7 is priced at RMB 219,900 for the Standard variant, RMB 249,900 for the Pro variant, and RMB 303,900 for the Max variant.

Pre-orders for the electric sedan are now live via the Xiaomi EV WeChat Mini Program and the Xiaomi EV app.

It is worth noting that the Xiaomi SU7 series is currently available only in mainland China and is not being sold in international markets at this time.
