Vivo has expanded its Y-series lineup with the launch of the new Vivo Y400. This is a 4G smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 685 chipset and it brings a standout feature, which is a massive 6,000mAh battery. The device also boasts an IP68 and IP69 rating offering strong protection against water and dust, which is uncommon in this segment. Here’s more about the newly unveiled device.

The Vivo Y400 sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. It supports the full DCI-P3 color gamut and reaches up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness, making it ideal for outdoor viewing.
On the back, the phone features a 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera paired with a 2MP depth sensor. On the software front, it runs Funtouch OS 15, which is based on Android 15, ensuring users get the latest Android experience.
A key highlight is the 6,000mAh battery, which should deliver extended usage on a single charge. It supports 44W fast charging, allowing for relatively quick top-ups despite the large battery capacity.

The Vivo Y400 is currently listed on the official Vivo Indonesia website and will be available in Purple Twilight and Tropical Green colour options.
While pricing and exact availability details haven’t been announced yet, the phone is expected to roll out in other Southeast Asian markets soon.
