Vivo has officially introduced the Vivo Y05 in Malaysia and Saudi Arabia. Positioned as an entry-level offering, the new smartphone targets budget buyers looking for a smooth display experience and long-lasting battery life. The Vivo Y05 is priced at RM 399 (approximately $100) in Malaysia. In Saudi Arabia, the smartphone is available for $109.
It comes in two colour options, which are Black and Blue.
The Vivo Y05 sports a 6.74-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels. It supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smoother scrolling and animations compared to standard 60Hz panels. The screen delivers a pixel density of 260ppi and can reach up to 1200 nits High Brightness Mode (HBM). For security, the device includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Powering the smartphone is the Unisoc T7225 chipset, built on a 12nm process. The processor is paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage. Vivo also offers support for an additional 4GB of extended RAM. Storage can be expanded up to 2TB using a microSD card.
