Vivo is reportedly preparing to launch the upcoming Vivo X500 series earlier than expected. Recent leaks had already revealed the display sizes of the upcoming models in the series and a fresh report has now tipped the battery capacity details of the Vivo X500 Pro Max variant. Here’s what we know thus far.
According to the latest leak (via Gizmochina), the Vivo X500 Pro Max could feature a massive battery exceeding 8,000mAh. It is important to note that since the previous-generation X300 lineup did not include a Pro Max version, the X500 Pro Max is expected to debut as a completely new addition to the series.
The leaker claims that Vivo is currently testing a prototype unit equipped with an 8,000mAh battery. However, the final hardware design of the smartphone has reportedly not been completed yet.
According to the leak, Vivo is still working on the internal structure of the device and aims to achieve the targeted battery capacity in the final retail version.
The new information also matches a recent report suggesting that the entire Vivo X500 lineup may arrive with high-density batteries larger than 7,000mAh.
If accurate, this would mark a major upgrade over the current-generation models. For comparison, the Vivo X300 features a 6,040mAh battery, while the Vivo X300 Pro packs a 6,510mAh unit.
X500 Pro Max is also tipped to feature a large 6.85-inch OLED display with support for 2K resolution. Under the hood, the device could be powered by a next-generation 2nm chipset, which is expected to be the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro processor.
It was earlier tipped that the lineup can include three smartphones named the Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro and the all-new Vivo X500 Pro Max.
Additional reports suggest that the standard Vivo X500 may feature a 6.59-inch display, while the Vivo X500 Pro could arrive with a smaller 6.37-inch screen. Both smartphones are also expected to use MediaTek Dimensity 9600-series chipsets.
Meanwhile, the Vivo X300s debuted in China a few weeks ago and it features a 6.78-inch display similar to the X300 Pro but includes a larger 7,100mAh battery.
