Honor could soon launch a new large size battery smartphone under its Power series lineup. According to a fresh leak shared by tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the upcoming Honor Power 3 is currently in development and may arrive with one of the largest smartphone batteries seen so far. Here are more details.
The leak suggests that the Honor Power 3 will succeed the Honor Power 2, which was introduced earlier this year with a massive 10,080mAh battery. The upcoming model is now tipped to raise the battery capacity even further potentially offering an 11,000mAh or even 12,000mAh battery.
If accurate, the device could easily surpass most existing Android smartphones in terms of battery size.
However, it is important to note that managing heat output and charging performance may become challenging for Honor if the final device indeed ships with a battery capacity close to 12,000mAh.
Honor appears to be continuing its recent strategy of focusing on long battery life smartphones in the Chinese market. The company launched the Honor Power 2 in January 2026 as part of the growing trend of ultra-large silicon-carbon batteries.

Apart from the battery upgrade, the smartphone is also tipped to feature MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 8600 processor. According to the leak, the chipset could be built using a 3nm manufacturing process. While detailed specifications of the SoC have not surfaced yet, the shift from the 4nm chip used in the previous-generation model could help improve both power efficiency and overall battery life.
The tipster further reveals that an early stage engineering prototype features a 6.8-inch 1.5K LTPS flat display with 2.5D glass.
The timing of the latest leak also aligns with Honor’s broader product roadmap. The company is expected to refresh its flagship Magic series later this year before reportedly introducing more gaming-focused Win 2 devices.
If Honor follows the same release schedule as the previous generation, the Honor Power 3 could launch sometime in early 2027.
As of now, it seems Honor Power 3 would mainly focus on the China smartphone market. There is currently no information regarding global availability.
