The Vivo X100 and X100 Pro global launches are set for December 14.
The company’s global website features a dedicated page for this launch which says it is to happen at 7.00 PM but there’s no time zone specified.
Both devices have already seen the light of day in China, exactly one month before the expected global roll-out, so nothing is out of the ordinary in terms of specs and features.
Vivo claims it has opened pre-orders for these smartphones globally since November 24.
Despite this, the company has not yet initiated pre-orders through its international website, with an expectation that this will commence shortly along with the announcement of the event’s time zone.
While an official launch in India for the X100 series is yet to be confirmed, recent BIS certification suggests their imminent arrival.
The previous models, Vivo X90 and X90 Pro, were also launched in India, albeit with some delay.
The X100 series is a flagship one alright.
They are powered by cutting-edge MediaTek chipsets.
But the most premium offering, one they call the Vivo X100 Pro+, is apparently not coming in any time soon.
Reports have indicated a delay in the release of the X100 Pro+ in China due to some unspecified reasons.
As such the smartphone is now slated for launch in the first half of 2024, a shift from the previously rumoured April release.
Also, Vivo plans to introduce this model by the end of the first half of 2024, alongside the anticipated Vivo Pad 3 tablet and Vivo X Fold 3 foldable smartphone.
The X100 series features a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, enhancing the visual experience.
The X100 is equipped with a 50MP main sensor with a Sony IMX VCS sensor and a 64MP telephoto camera with a Zeiss lens, capable of 3x optical zoom.
In contrast, the X100 Pro boasts a 50MP primary sensor with a Sony IMX989 lens and a 50MP Zeiss lens, offering a 4.3x optical zoom.
Both devices include a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, enhancing their photographic capabilities.
Both devices also feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC.
Battery-wise, the X100 houses a 5,000 mAh battery and comes with a 100W charger, whereas the X100 Pro features a slightly larger 5,400 mAh battery complemented by a 120W wired charger.
Both models promise peak performance and user experience, supported by up to 16GB of LPDDR5T RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
The connectivity options in the X100 series are comprehensive, including USB-C 3.2, WiFi-7, 5G, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.3.
