Vivo has officially launched the Vivo X Fold 6 in China, introducing several firsts for the company’s foldable smartphone lineup. The new book-style foldable is Vivo’s first foldable phone to be powered by a MediaTek chipset replacing the Snapdragon processors used in previous generations. It also debuts the brand’s largest battery ever in a foldable smartphone and brings a 200-megapixel rear camera to the series for the first time.

Vivo X Fold 6 – Price and Availability
The Vivo X Fold 6 is available in five storage configurations. The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model is priced at CNY 7,999 (approximately $1,175), while the 12GB + 512GB variant costs CNY 8,999 (approximately $1,320).
The 16GB + 512GB model is priced at CNY 9,999 (approximately $1,470), whereas the 16GB + 1TB variant carries a price tag of CNY 10,999 (approximately $1,615).
Vivo has also introduced a special Black Gold Edition with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage priced at CNY 11,299 (approximately $1,660).

The smartphone is available in Blue Cave, Salt Lake, Extreme Night, and Black Gold Edition colour options.
At present, Vivo has not announced any plans for the global launch of the X Fold 6.
Vivo X Fold 6 – Key Features
The Vivo X Fold 6 features a large 8.02-inch foldable AMOLED inner display with a resolution of 2504 × 2312 pixels. The panel supports an adaptive LTPO refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz, uses Samsung’s M14 luminous material, delivers up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness, supports 1,920Hz PWM dimming and is protected by ultra-thin glass (UTG).
On the outside, the phone sports a 6.51-inch AMOLED cover display with a resolution of 2528 × 1120 pixels. It also offers a 1Hz to 120Hz LTPO refresh rate, uses a BOE Q11 panel, reaches up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness, and is protected by second-generation Armour Glass.
The Vivo X Fold 6 packs the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition processor. The chipset is paired with Vivo’s V3+ imaging chip, LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, and UFS 4.1 storage.
Photography is one of the biggest highlights of the Vivo X Fold 6. The foldable is equipped with a triple rear camera setup led by a 200-megapixel Samsung HPB primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS).
The main camera is accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 602 periscope telephoto camera featuring Vivo’s VCS technology and OIS. The rear camera system also supports the optional Vivo ZEISS Teleconverter G2 accessory for extended photography capabilities.
Both the inner and outer displays house 20-megapixel front-facing cameras for selfies and video calls.
The smartphone packs a massive 7,000mAh Blue Ocean battery, making it the largest battery ever used in a Vivo foldable device. It incorporates third-generation solid-state battery technology and supports 80W wired fast charging, 40W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wired charging.
The phone runs OriginOS 6 Fold based on Android 16.
The Vivo X Fold 6 comes with IP58 and IP59 ratings for water and dust resistance. Additional features include Wi-Fi 7, USB 3.2 Gen 1, NFC, an IR blaster, stereo speakers, an X-axis linear motor, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Depending on the colour variant, the handset measures between 4.4mm and 4.8mm when unfolded, while the folded thickness ranges from 9.4mm to 9.9mm.
