Vivo TWS 5e has been officially teased ahead of its launch in China. Vivo is preparing to introduce the new affordable wireless earbuds later this month. As of now, the company has started accepting pre-orders before the first sale scheduled for May 29. Here’s everything we know so far.
In a latest Weibo post, the official Vivo account in China shared a fresh new teaser poster. The teaser image further reveals that the upcoming earbuds will be available in three colour options including white, black, and sky blue.
The post on Weibo notes that one of the biggest highlights of the Vivo TWS 5e is its the 55dB hybrid adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC). This appears to be a major upgrade over the 30dB ANC support offered on the older Vivo TWS 3e, which launched in late 2023.
According to Vivo, the updated ANC system is designed to reduce surrounding sounds such as traffic noise, office conversations, and commuting-related background noise more effectively.
Battery life is another major focus of the upcoming earbuds. Vivo claims that the TWS 5e can deliver up to 55 hours of total playback time when used together with the charging case.
For comparison, the previous-generation Vivo TWS 3e offered up to 44 hours of total battery life, while each earbud could last up to 11 hours with ANC disabled.
The upcoming TWS 5e is also expected to target the affordable mid-range wireless earbuds segment.
At the moment, Vivo has not revealed the complete specifications of the TWS 5e. Details regarding the driver configuration, latency performance and IP rating are still unknown. For reference, the Vivo TWS 3e featured Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, a 55ms low-latency gaming mode, DeepX 3.0 sound effects, and 3D Panoramic Audio support for a more immersive listening experience.
Vivo has not officially announced the pricing of the TWS 5e yet. However, the earbuds are expected to remain competitively priced similar to their predecessor. The Vivo TWS 3e was launched at 179 yuan, which roughly translated to around EUR 22 at the time.
