Just to remind our readers, the company last introduced an S series smartphone in the country back in 2019. Vivo had launched the Vivo S1 followed by the Vivo S1 Pro with both devices focusing on premium design and camera features in the mid-range category. The Vivo S1 launched in India back in 2019 at a starting price of ₹17,990. It featured 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display and an optical in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone was powered by the MediaTek Helio P65 chipset and packed a 4,500mAh battery with support for 18W charging.
It also featured a 32-megapixel front-facing camera aimed at selfie-focused users.
The company later even expanded the lineup with the Vivo S1 Pro. The smartphone arrived with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665 processor and featured a more premium build with a glass back and aluminium frame. The device also included a 48-megapixel quad rear camera setup while retaining the AMOLED display and in-display fingerprint scanner from the standard Vivo S1.
