Vivo has officially launched its latest Vivo TWS 5 and TWS 5 Hi-Fi earbuds in China, alongside the Vivo X300 series smartphones and Vivo Pad 5e tablet. The new models succeed last year’s TWS 4 series, offering notable upgrades in sound quality, connectivity, and design. Here’s all about the new buds.
The Vivo TWS 5 Hi-Fi version stands out as the result of an extensive collaboration between the Vivo Golden Ear Acoustic Team and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music Acoustic Master Group.

This partnership has been focused on fine-tuning the earbuds’ acoustic structure and audio algorithms to ensure “accurate sound reproduction and restoration of every musical detail.”
Both the Vivo TWS 5 and TWS 5 Hi-Fi feature an in-ear design and support Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) of up to 60dB with 5,500Hz ultra-wideband noise reduction. The earbuds promise an impressive battery life of up to 45 hours (TWS 5) or 48 hours (TWS 5 Hi-Fi) when used with the charging case.

These earbuds use Bluetooth 5.4 LE for seamless connectivity and are powered by second-generation ceramic tungsten acoustic diaphragms. They include AI call noise reduction microphones, offer 44ms full-link low latency, and the Hi-Fi variant supports LDAC and LHDC 5.0 high-resolution audio codecs, achieving a transmission rate of up to 1.4Mbps.
Additionally, the earbuds feature a professional spatial sound field engine, providing an immersive 3D panoramic audio experience with four spatial sound effect modes.
A standout feature is the real-time translation function, which works using both the TWS hardware and the Vivo/iQOO smartphone software to translate multiple languages including Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, French, and Thai.
The Vivo TWS 5 is priced at CNY 399 (approx. Rs. 4,970 / USD 56) and is available in Purple, White, and Black colours. The Vivo TWS 5 Hi-Fi version costs CNY 499 (approx. Rs. 6,217 / USD 70) and comes in Deep Sea Blue and White shades.
Both models are currently open for pre-orders and will officially go on sale in China starting October 17.
