Vivo is set to increase the prices of several Y-series smartphones in India starting May 9, 2026. The upcoming price revision will affect the Vivo Y05, Vivo Y11 5G, and Vivo Y21 5G models across multiple RAM and storage variants.
The revised pricing details reveal hikes of up to Rs 3,000 on select variants. The updated prices will reportedly come into effect immediately across retail channels. Here are more details.
The Vivo Y05 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant previously carried an MOP (Market Operating Price) of Rs 12,999. Following the revision, the smartphone will now be available at Rs 13,999.
This marks a price increase of Rs 1,000.
Vivo Y11 5G.
The Vivo Y11 5G 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant has also received a Rs 1,000 price hike. The device was earlier priced at Rs 14,999 but will now retail at Rs 15,999.
Meanwhile, the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the Vivo Y11 5G will continue to be sold at Rs 17,999. There is no price change for this model at the moment.
Vivo Y21 5G.
The Vivo Y21 5G lineup has received the biggest price revision among the listed smartphones.
The 4GB RAM + 128GB storage model has moved from Rs 18,999 to Rs 19,999 reflecting a Rs 1,000 increase.
The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant has received a major jump from Rs 20,999 to Rs 23,999. This means buyers will now have to pay Rs 3,000 extra for this version.
Similarly, the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model has also seen a price increase. The phone was earlier priced at Rs 22,999 and will now retail at Rs 23,999.
While Vivo has not officially disclosed the reason for the latest price revision, smartphone price hikes in India are often linked to rising component costs, currency fluctuations, import duties, and increased manufacturing expenses.
The revision may also reflect changing market demand and pricing adjustments across the budget and mid-range smartphone segments.
The updated pricing means buyers planning to purchase these Vivo smartphones may have to spend more from May 9 onward. Customers interested in the Vivo Y05, Vivo Y11 5G, or Vivo Y21 5G may consider purchasing the devices before the revised prices become applicable.
The Vivo Y21 5G variants especially the 6GB + 128GB model have received the steepest increase that makes them notably more expensive compared to their earlier pricing.
