The first week of May 2026 is shaping up to be an exciting time for smartphone launches in India. Several brands are gearing up to introduce new devices across premium and mid-range segments. Launching alongside the FE model, the Vivo X300 Ultra is positioned as the brand’s most premium offering in India. It is also the first Ultra device from Vivo in the country.
The highlight of the device is its advanced camera setup, which includes a 50MP ultra-wide sensor along with two large 200MP sensors for the main and telephoto lenses. The phone supports extender kits (200mm and 400mm) enabling up to 17.4x optical zoom.
Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The device also packs a massive 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging support. It features a 6.81-inch display with 2K resolution and a 144Hz dynamic refresh rate.
The Vivo X300 Ultra is expected to compete with flagship category and is tipped to start at ₹1,59,999 in India.
The Vivo X300 FE is set to launch in India on May 6, 2026 and is expected to stand out as a compact flagship device. It features a refreshed design and support for a Teleextender kit to enhance photography.
The smartphone comes with a 6.31-inch LTPO display and retains the ZEISS-backed triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor along with a 50MP front camera. It also packs a 6,500mAh battery. Compared to its predecessor Vivo X200 FE, it introduces upgrades like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and support for 40W wireless charging.
The device will be available in Urban Olive, Lilac Purple, and Noir Black colour options.
Pricing is expected to be on the higher side with an alleged retail box suggesting an MRP above ₹1,00,000. However, the expected selling price could be around ₹70,000 for the base variant.
OnePlus Nord CE 6 and OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite will launch in India on May 7 targeting the mid-range and affordable segments.
The Nord CE 6 is expected to be the more premium model featuring the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, a 1.5K display with up to 1,800 nits peak brightness and support for 144FPS gaming in select titles. It also stands out with a massive 8,000mAh battery and a 50MP primary camera with dual-axis OIS.
On the other hand, the Nord CE 6 Lite will cater to budget-conscious buyers. It is powered by the Dimensity 7400 Apex chipset and features a 144Hz display along with support for high frame rate gaming in lighter titles. The device includes a 50MP rear camera and a 32MP front camera along with a large 7,000mAh battery.
In terms of pricing, the Nord CE 6 Lite is expected to launch under ₹25,000, while the Nord CE 6 could be priced around ₹30,000 or slightly higher.
While not officially confirmed for India yet, the iQOO Z11 is another smartphone to watch. It is set to debut globally in Malaysia on May 6.
The global variant is expected to feature a Dimensity 8500 chipset instead of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 seen in the Chinese version. It is also expected to pack a massive 9,020mAh battery with 90W fast charging support making it one of the biggest batteries in its segment.
The device will sport a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with up to 165Hz refresh rate and a 50MP primary camera with OIS.
Additionally, the iQOO Z11x that is already available in India and will also launch in Malaysia alongside it. The Z11x features a Dimensity 7400 Turbo chipset and a 7,200mAh battery.
Following its global debut, the iQOO Z11 is expected to arrive in India soon. For users looking for long battery life in an affordable smartphone, this could be a model worth waiting for.
