Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G launched in India

Samsung launched the Galaxy A52s 5G in India as the latest model in the Galaxy A series. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage version will retail for Rs 35,999 while the 8GB + 128GB model will go for Rs 37,499. In terms of availability, the new Samsung phone will come in Awesome Black, Awesome Violet, and Awesome White colors from Amazon, Samsung.com, and major retail outlets. The new device comes with a hole-punch display design and quad rear cameras. It also features a 120Hz AMOLED display and Dolby Atmos sound with its stereo speakers. The Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G competes against the likes of the OnePlus Nord 2, Realme GT Master Edition, Mi 11X, and Poco F3 GT.

Google Maps, Search, Assistant to show vaccine availability info

Search giant Google announced that users will now be able to use Google Maps, Search, and Google Assistant to get more information about vaccine availability and appointments. A statement said that the information is powered by real-time data from the Cowin APIs, and includes details like availability of appointment slots at each centre, vaccines and doses offered (Dose 1 or Dose 2), pricing (paid or free), and link to CoWIN website for booking. The update will be rolled out this week, and over 13,000 locations will show vaccine availability-related information.

Windows 11 to launch without Android apps support

In an announcement on its website, Microsoft said that it will not include support for Android apps at the time of its official release in October 5. The software giant will make it available for Insider users in the following months, though. The free upgrade to Windows 11 would begin rolling out on October 5 to all eligible Windows 10 PCs and the PCs that come preloaded with the next-generation Windows operating system will become available on sale. It will bring a list of changes, including the centrally placed Start menu and refresh interface.

Apple Watch saves a woman’s life

Boasted with health features such as ECG, oximeter, and fall detection among others, Apple Watch is often credited for saving lives across the globe. In yet another incident, an American citizen’s life was saved by the smartwatch. Yolie De Leon of Arizona said her Apple Watch alerted her to an abnormally high heart rate, sending her to urgent care where she was told by her doctor that her device was right, and her condition was life-threatening. De Leon, after the life-saving incident, showed her gratitude to the tech giant and reached out to Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Samsung launches The Frame 85″ and The Serif 65″

Samsung is expanding its line-up of design TVs with larger screen formats. The Frame is much thinner this year and will be available in 85 inches. The Serif will expand to 65 inches. The Frame functions as a normal TV but doubles as a digital photo frame. Buyers can rent or buy over 1400 digital pieces of art from the built-in store. Additional frames are available to buy separately – they attach magnetically. The Frame 2021 is also 46 percent thinner than last year’s version.
