New Samsung Galaxy A12 launched in India

Samsung has launched a new variant of the Galaxy A12 smartphone in India. The Samsung Galaxy A12 was originally launched in February with the MediaTek Helio P35 SoC. Now the South Korean tech giant has introduced yet another Galaxy A12 in the country with the company’s own Exynos mobile processor. The new Galaxy A12 comes in two variants – 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage costs Rs 13,999, whereas the second variant that costs Rs 16,499 comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

Moto Edge 20, Edge 20 Fusion price leaked for India

Motorola Edge 20 and Motorola Edge 20 Fusion are scheduled to launch on August 17 in India and it looks like pricing of both the phones have been leaked. Ahead of its launch, a tipster has leaked the India pricing of the Motorola Edge 20 series and it is nothing like you had expected. The Motorola Edge 20 is expected to cost under Rs 30,000 while the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion could start at just over Rs 21,000. The upcoming Moto Edge 20 Fusion is expected to be a tweaked version of Motorola Edge 20 Lite.

Zoom launches focus mode for online classes

Video collaboration platform Zoom has announced a new ‘Focus Mode’ that will help students stay attentive during online classes. The company said that with this feature, teachers can supervise their class, but students won’t be distracted by their peers’ video feeds or feel self-conscious about turning on their own camera. The Focus Mode extends to screen sharing as well. The host as well as the co-host can see the screen shared by a participant and can share it with the rest of the batch if and when needed.

Twitter rolls out new design and font

Micro-blogging website Twitter rolled out design changes to its mobile and desktop sites. The social media giant aims to make the platform “more accessible, unique, and focussed” with the new design changes, including a new font called ‘Chirp’. Twitter Design account announced the changes on the platform. It said the changes in typography and colour was done in a bid to “clean up a lot of visual clutter”. The Chirp font is Twitter’s first-ever proprietary typeface that aims to be distinctive and easy to read.

Instagram launches ‘Limits’ to curb unwanted messages

Instagram has announced a new feature to prevent the spread of abuse and hatred on the social media platform. The new feature is called ‘Limits’ that automatically hides messages and comments from people who don’t follow, or just started following, users who switch it on. The company quoted a recent example of racist abuse spread across the platform following the men’s Euro 2020 football final and how the new feature ‘Limits’ can prevent such outbursts.
