A report by Variety has confirmed that they will be seen together in an upcoming spy film titled ‘Tiger vs Pathan’. Yes, you heard that right.
The report mentioned that the upcoming film would be directed by Siddharth Anand.
Shah Rukh-Salman starrer ‘Tiger vs Pathaan’
Siddharth will get Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan together for their first full-fledged film since “Karan Arjun” in 1995.
Siddharth will also get all the help he needs to make “Tiger vs. Pathan” the biggest movie India has ever made, the report said, citing a trade source.
The major Indian film studio Yash Rai Films will start shooting the movie in January 2024. However, Yash Raj Films hasn’t commented on the matter yet.
About half of the upcoming movies from Yash Raj Films are likely to be set in the spy universe, as per the report.
“Pathan,” which stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, has made $130 million so far this year, making it the biggest Indian hit of 2023 so far.
The spy universe began with the Tiger movies, which starred Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. They were “Ek Tha Tiger” (2012) and “Tiger Zinda Hai” (2017). “War” (2019), which starred Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, was the next movie in the series.
Together, the four movies have made about $300 million. “Tiger 3,” the next movie in the spy universe, is set to come out in November, during the Diwali festival.

The film, from leading Indian studio Yash Raj Films, will commence principal photography in January 2024, sources close to the studio confirmed to Variety. Yash Raj Films declined to comment.

In the Tiger franchise, Salman Khan plays Avinash Singh Rathore, AKA Tiger, who belongs to Indian intelligence agency RAW and Kaif plays Zoya Humaini from Pakistan’s ISI. In “War,” Roshan is rogue RAW agent Kabir Dhaliwal and Shroff his protégé Khalid Rahmani.
In “Pathaan,” Shah Rukh Khan plays exiled RAW agent Pathaan and Padukone ISI agent Rubina Mohsin.
Tiger has an extended cameo in “Pathaan” and the film also features Colonel Sunil Luthra (Ashutosh Rana), who first appeared in “War” and is expected to be in “Tiger 3” as well.
At the end of “Pathaan,” Tiger and Pathaan ruminate on their possible replacements without naming any names and come to the conclusion that they will have to carry on themselves as the task of saving the nation cannot be left to children.

The film grossed ₹565 crore worldwide[14] becoming the eighth highest grossing Indian film. At 63 Rd Filmfare awards won for Best Action.
War (2019)
Kabir, a skilled RAW agent, goes rogue after a mission to catch a terrorist named Rizwan Illiyasi goes awry.
However, his boss sends Khalid, another agent and Kabir’s student to track him down.
War is the third installment of the shared universe, which was commissioned after the success of the previous films, and was directed by Siddharth Anand, starring Hrithik Roshan , Vaani Kapoor & Tiger Shroff.
Pathaan (2023)
Pathaan, an exiled RAW agent is assigned to take down Jim, a former RAW agent-turned-traitor and the leader of “Outfit X”, a private terror organization which is planning to spread a deadly lab generated virus dubbed “Raktbeej” across India.
Pathaan is the fourth installment in the shared universe directed by Siddharth Anand starring Shahrukh khan , John Abraham & Deepika Padukone .

Tiger 3 (2023)
The fifth installment of the shared universe and a sequel to Tiger Zinda Hai, will feature Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, reprising their eponymous roles, with Emraan Hashmi playing the antagonist with Shah Rukh Khan & Hrithik Roshan in cameos reprising their role from Pathan & War. It is being directed by Maneesh Sharma.
War 2
On 4 April 2023, the film was officially announced by YRF with Ayan Mukerji as director. Hrithik Roshan is set to return as Major Kabir Dhaliwal with Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in cameos reprising their roles from Tiger franchise and Pathaan.
On 5 April 2023, Telugu superstar Jr NTR was signed as the main antagonist making his Bollywood debut, and the film will go on floors in November 2023.
Tiger vs Pathaan (TBA)
In March 2023, it was reported that a film titled Tiger vs Pathan is in development stage and will go on floors from January 2024. Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan will reprise their roles from Tiger franchise and Pathan respectively with Hrithik Roshan in cameo reprising his roles from War. On 6th April, Aditya Chopra has confirmed that Siddharth Anand will direct the film.
