After launching Galaxy F13 in India, South-Korean tech giant Samsung is reportedly planning to expand its M series smartphone in India. According to the report, the brand is likely to launch Galaxy M series in the first week of July.

Going by a cryptic post on the social media handle, Samsung is likely to launch Galaxy M33 or M35 smartphone in India on July 5. Details of the reported upcoming phone is yet to be revealed by the Samsung. The launch event – likely to be virtual – will start at 12 noon.

Details about the upcoming Galaxy M-series smartphone is expected ahead of the official launch date. In case of Galaxy M33, the upcoming smartphone can be a 4G-enabled device as Samsung already sells Galaxy M33 5G in the country. If it goes with the Galaxy M35 moniker, the phone will come as an upgrade over the Galaxy M33 5G.

Talking about the price, it is speculated that Samsung may keep the price of the smartphone Rs 20,000. The speculation is based on the price of Galaxy M33 5G. It offers M33 at Rs 17,999 and Rs 19,499 for the 6GB and 8GB variants, respectively. If it is a 4G variant of the M33 5G, the phone may be priced between Rs 15,000 and 20,000. These are just speculations about the upcoming smartphone under the M series.

Samsung Galaxy M33 5G specifications

Aiming at mid-range customers, M33 under Samsung Galaxy M series was rolled out recently. The smartphone comes with a quad-camera setup on the back, and is powered by the company’s own 5nm octa-core Exynos SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The handset gets power from a massive 6000mAh battery, and is said to compete with the likes of Redmi Note 11 Pro and Moto G71.

Equipped with a 6.6-inch Full HD+ LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and a 120Hz refresh rate, the Samsung Galaxy M33 5G runs on Android 12 and ships with the proprietary Exynos 1280 chipset. There is a 6,000mAh battery under the hood with 25W fast charging support. The phone also packs a quad rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front is an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

The Samsung Galaxy M33 5G comes in two RAM/ROM configurations – 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB. While the base variant is priced at Rs 18,999, the upper variant costs Rs 20,499. The smartphone is available for purchase in Blue and Green colour options via Amazon and Samsung India online store since April 8.
