Samsung is reportedly preparing to introduce four smartphones under the Galaxy S27 lineup next year. These are the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra. Among them, the newly rumoured Galaxy S27 Pro is expected to stand out by offering flagship-grade features in a comparatively compact form factor. New leak has now revealed the exact display size of the model to give us an idea on how compact this one is going to be.
According to a well-known Samsung tipster account named Ice Universe, the upcoming Galaxy S27 Pro could feature a 6.47-inch display. The device is said to borrow several specifications from the Galaxy S27 Ultra while keeping the overall device size compact.
Tech bloggers have pointed out that this move appears similar to Apple’s expected strategy for the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models. Apple is also rumoured to launch in two different sizes.
With its nearly 6.5-inch display, the Galaxy S27 Pro may target users looking for a large-screen experience without opting for the biggest Ultra sized smartphone.
As per current leaks, the standard Galaxy S27 is tipped to retain a 6.3-inch display, while the Galaxy S27+ may continue with a 6.7-inch screen. The all-new Galaxy S27 Pro is expected to arrive with a 6.5-inch display, whereas the Galaxy S27 Ultra could once again feature a 6.9-inch panel.
The Galaxy S27 Pro could be Samsung’s biggest flagship lineup shake-up since the introduction of the Galaxy S20 Ultra and the discontinuation of the Galaxy Note branding.
Reports suggest that the Pro model could share many core specifications with the Ultra variant including Samsung’s next-generation Snapdragon chipset and the company’s Privacy Display technology.
The smartphone is reportedly aimed at users who want Ultra-level hardware and capabilities but do not need the S Pen stylus.
Although the official launch is still far away, the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra are currently expected to debut no earlier than February 2027. Several upgrades have already started surfacing online including a redesigned rear camera module and a triple-camera setup instead of four sensors. Samsung may reportedly remove the smaller 3x optical zoom camera that was previously seen on the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Previous reports have further claimed that both the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra could feature the same rear camera system including a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom.
As of now, other details regarding device features remain under wraps.
