Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro have leaked once again. We are now getting an update on key battery details found within the company’s own software. These details arrive shortly after design renders surfaced online giving a clearer picture of Samsung’s next-generation TWS lineup. Here’s a roundup of both the new leaks.
According to images uncovered by Android Authority, the Galaxy Buds 4 have been spotted in black and white colour options. The earbuds adopt a design that resembles the Pro model but without silicone ear tips. They feature a fresh stem-style look along with a grille at the top.
Previous leaks indicate that the new stem will support touch gestures such as squeeze and swipe controls. Samsung is also redesigning the charging case for both the Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro. The earbuds will now lie flat inside and the “Blade Lights” seen on the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are reportedly not returning this time.
As per Android Authority, each Galaxy Buds 4 earbud will house a 42mAh battery, slightly lower than the 48mAh capacity used in the Galaxy Buds 3. This reduction is modest compared to last year’s bigger drop when Samsung moved from the Galaxy Buds 2 to the Buds 3 with over a 20 per cent cut.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro are expected to include 57mAh batteries, a small bump from the 53mAh units inside the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro.
For comparison, older models like the Galaxy Buds 2 and Buds 2 Pro both offered 61mAh batteries. Despite Samsung trimming battery sizes over generations, real-world battery life has stayed largely consistent. Independent tests from SoundGuys previously showed the Buds 2 and Buds 3 non-Pro versions lasted around five hours on a single charge, which hints at improved efficiency in hardware and software.
The charging case for the Galaxy Buds 4 lineup may also receive a minor update. A previous leak suggested Samsung could increase the case’s battery capacity by around three per cent, though the latest report indicates the change would be minimal.
Answer. The Galaxy Buds 4 adopt a stem-style design without silicone tips, spotted in black and white, with a redesigned case where earbuds lie flat.
Answer. Each Galaxy Buds 4 earbud may carry a 42mAh battery, while the Buds 4 Pro could include 57mAh units, slightly higher than Buds 3 Pro’s 53mAh.
Answer. Real-world battery life remains largely consistent (about 5 hours) thanks to improved hardware and software efficiency, even with reduced battery sizes.
