Samsung has recently expanded its A-series in India with the introduction of the Galaxy A25 5G, succeeding the earlier Galaxy A23 5G.
Both these mid-range smartphones boast a variety of modern features and are designed to cater to different consumer needs.
In this comparison we will delineate the key differences and upgrades that the A25 offers over the A23, helping you make an informed decision.

The Galaxy A25 5G continues Samsung’s traditional design language with a waterdrop notch display and flat edges, albeit with noticeable bezels.
It offers a refreshing choice of colours – Blue, Yellow, and Blue Black – and features a boxier frame compared to its predecessor.
The triple-camera setup is neatly housed in a rectangular module.
In contrast, the Galaxy A23 5G also features a waterdrop notch but sports a quad-camera arrangement at the back.
Its design is more aligned with models previous to it, and the handset is offered in Silver, Light Blue, and Orange colour options.
The A25 5G is backed by a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, boasting a 120Hz refresh rate and Vision Booster technology.
This not only ensures smoother visuals but also enhances outdoor legibility with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits.
The A23 5G, on the other hand, comes with a 6.6-inch FHD+ IPS LCD and a similar 120Hz refresh rate.
While it offers crisp visuals, the LCD technology might not be as vibrant as the A25’s AMOLED panel.
Performance-wise, the A25 5G is equipped with the Exynos 1280 processor, complemented by 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
This combination promises efficient multitasking and ample storage space.
The A23 5G, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695, also offers up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, delivering reliable performance for everyday tasks.
However, in comparison to the Exynos 1280, the device’s processing capabilities fall slightly below expectations.
The A25 5G’s camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera.
It also features a 13MP front camera, enhancing selfie and video call quality.
The A23 5G’s quad-camera system, while similar to the primary sensor, includes a 5MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor, along with an 8MP front shooter.
Both smartphones are equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, supported by 25W fast charging.
The A25 5G runs on the latest Android 14-based One UI 6.0, offering an updated user interface and additional features.
The A23 5G was launched with Android 13 OS, providing a stable and smooth user experience but its upgrade to the latest version might take some time.
