Xiaomi has recently introduced the Redmi Pad 2 SE in China alongside the more powerful Redmi K Pad 2. As of now, both devices are limited to the Chinese market. Now, new developments suggest that the Redmi Pad 2 SE will soon make its way to global markets under different names.
According to recent changes spotted in HyperOS code, Xiaomi is planning multiple international versions of the Redmi Pad 2 SE. Reports indicate that the Wi-Fi variant launched in China will be rebranded as the POCO C Pad and the Redmi Pad 2 9.7 in global markets. These models are associated with model numbers 2603APC14G and 2603ARP14G, respectively.
Moreover, the company is said to be working on a cellular version that could be launched as the Redmi Pad 9.7 4G. With these versions, the Redmi Pad 2 SE is expected to replace the Redmi Pad SE 8.7 globally available in both Wi-Fi and 4G options.
Although Xiaomi has not confirmed an official launch timeline, past trends suggest that the global debut could happen around July or August this year.
According to reports, the hardware of Pad 2 SE 4G is expected to remain same as the internationally released version.
