As the year comes to a close, Xiaomi is gearing up to end it with a bang by launching its much-anticipated Redmi K70 series.
Slated for a December release according to a Xiaomiui report, this new lineup is expected to make waves in the smartphone market.
December is when initial reports indicate that the new lineup will make its debut in China but an IMEI listings also hints that the devices might see a November end release.
In a twist, the Redmi K70 Pro is expected to be exclusive to the Chinese market, while the other models in the series are likely to reach international shores under the Poco F6 series name.
All three models of the Redmi K70 are currently undergoing tests with MIUI 15 builds based on Android 14.
These tests bear the MIUI version codes MIUI-V15.0.0.2.UNLCNXM, MIUI-V15.0.0.2.UNKCNXM, and MIUI-V15.0.0.1.UNMCNXM respectively, offering a glimpse into the software capabilities of these upcoming devices.
A GeekBench listing has unveiled intriguing performance specs for the Redmi K70 Pro model, scoring 1100 in single-core and 5150 in multi-core tests.
This listing has confirmed the device will house an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which is expected to be unveiled in Hawaii on October 24.
A variant with a whopping 16GB RAM has also been confirmed.
The Redmi K70 launch can be considered one of the highly anticipated tech events as 2024 draws near.
With a blend of powerful flagship specs and strategic timing, Xiaomi appears ready to dominate the smartphone landscape yet again.
