Xiaomi has officially taken the wraps of its Redmi 13C series in India increasing its portfolio of C-series smartphones.
One of the most impressive things about the launch is that the Redmi 13C 5G is positioned as perhaps the cheapest 5G-powered phone you can buy in the market right now.
Let’s dive into the features, price and specs of the two devices.
The Redmi 13C and Redmi 13C 5G are available in three memory configurations: 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB.
The 4G model starts at Rs 7,999, with the 6GB and 8GB versions priced at Rs 8,999 and Rs 10,499, respectively.

Xiaomi also offers a Rs 1,000 instant discount for ICICI Bank cardholders and a similar exchange bonus for existing Xiaomi users.
The Redmi 13C 4G version, tailored for the budget-conscious consumer, packs a MediaTek Helio G85 processor, coupled with options for up to 8GB of RAM.
The inclusion of a dedicated micro-SD card slot offers storage flexibility over the 256GB of internal storage.
The 50MP AI Triple Camera setup stands out in this segment and has a macro and depth sensor for creative shots.
There is a large 5,000mAh battery supported by 18W fast charging means users can expect long hours of usage without frequent recharges.
The Redmi 13C 5G variant, the first 5G model in Xiaomi’s C-series, is positioned as the most affordable 5G smartphone in India.
It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC and has display, similar in size to the 4G variant, offering a higher peak brightness, making it more suitable for outdoor use.
Camera-wise, the phone has 50MP AI dual setup with the notable absence of a macro shooter.
Like its 4G counterpart, it also comes with a sizeable 5,000mAh battery and 18W fast charging, ensuring that the phone can keep up with the demands of 5G speeds without frequent charging.
Both models run on MIUI 14 based on Android 13, and there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner in both models which offers a convenient and quick way to unlock the phone.
In terms of audio, the inclusion of a 3.5mm audio jack caters to users who prefer traditional wired headphones.
