Realme’s latest interface, the UI 5.0, is touted to bring forth an array of new features and significant improvements.
At its core, the update introduces the Realme UI ubiquitous service smart car space, a feature that facilitates seamless screen projection to car systems during commutes.
On the utility front, phone relocation processes are enhanced for quicker data transfers between devices.
A special emphasis is placed on security, refining photo and video permission management to ensure tighter app access control.
The interface is aesthetically revamped with the aquatic colour system, offering users a fresh, clear, and natural interface.
Sound enhancements come in the form of aquatic theme system ringtones and superior UI sound effects.
With the new update, users can also expect faster application launch times, smoother animations, and increased system stability.
The Realme GT 2 Pro 5G and Realme GT Neo 5 are the brand’s front-runners set to receive the Android 14 (beta) combined with Realme UI 5.0 in China.
Following closely, the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition is on track to get this software update in September, with the Realme GT 5 lined up for an October release.
There is currently no word on when the update will roll out on Indian devices.
In an ambitious move, Realme is inviting users to be a part of their beta testing campaign for the Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0 update.
However, this exclusive testing phase has slots for only a thousand participants and is presently focused on the Chinese market.
Prospective testers using the Realme GT 2 Pro should ensure they’re on the base version RMX3300_13.1.0.103(CN01), while the Realme GT Neo 5 variants, 150W and 240W, should be on versions RMX3706_13.1.0.115(CN01) and RMX3708_13.1.0.115(CN01) respectively.
As the beta testing phase takes off, Realme encourages users to back up their data, ensuring a risk-free transition to the latest software.
Considering the testing drive in China, global markets, including India, can remain optimistic about similar opportunities in the near future.
The latest UI 5.0 from Realme boasts an aquatic design with a fresh colour system, increased security with refined photo and video permission management, and superior system optimizations for a smoother user experience.
Realme has initiated beta testing for its GT 2 Pro 5G and GT Neo 5 models in China. Users need to be on specific base versions to be eligible.
