Realme GT Neo 5 has been officially launched in China as the latest Neo series offering. The handset is the company’s most premium offering and will roll out globally soon. The handset ships with a variable heat dissipation system max with 6580 mm2 cooling area and 4500 mm2 3D VC cooling. There’s a 1500Hz gaming control engine, and antenna matrix system 2.0.
The phone comes with a transparent GB design inspired by transparent gaming chassis. This includes a transparent double-film zero-noise technology, a deco-integrated metal camera, and a halo RB system that has 25 colours and 5-speed adjuments.
The e-sports berserk lighting effect on the back can also be used for notifications like calls, messages and others. They also light up during the highlight moments of the game. The phone comes in two models: one with 150W rapid charging speed and the other with 240W fast charging.
The GT Neo 5 will go on sale in three different colors, including a Black, White, and a Purple model. The Purple colour uses the industry’s first matte fusion process in a piece of glass using four textures. The white combine black and white that is translucent and warm. The Black has fine particles, deep and deep, and implements three colors of Starlight.

Realme GT Neo 5 sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate, punch-hole cutout, HDR10+, up to 1450 nits peak brightness, 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and 2772 X 1240 pixels resolution. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen SoC paired with Adreno GPU for graphics.
While the GT Neo 5 packs 8GB/12GB/16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, the GT Neo 5 240W packs 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone runs on Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 custom skin out of the box. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
Realme placed an RGB LED rectangle on the back, which can act as a notification light and is fully customizable for different apps. It will also glow in red when the battery is under 20%, a notification that can also be programmed through the Settings menu.
The Realme GT Neo 5 240W comes with a 4,600mAh battery and a 20V/12A adapter in the retail box. The 150W variant has a 5,000mAh battery and a 20V/8A adapter in the retail package. The 240W adapter can charge the GT Neo 5 to 20% in 80 seconds, to 50% in 4 minutes and 100% in under 10 minutes. The company says that just 30 seconds on the wire can provide up to 2 hours of talk.
The phone will also work with legacy VOOC and SuperVOOC chargers, which will also be able to provide their maximum power to the smartphone through the USB-C port.
As for the cameras, the Realme GT Neo 5 features triple rear cameras on the back, with a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS, f/1.88 aperture, an 8MP IMX355 ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP GC02M microscope lens. There is a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.
Realme GT Neo 5 has an 8-component cooling solution, including a vapor chamber and multiple layers of graphite for heat dissipation. The fast charging could also be demanding from the phone, but Realme got a TUV Rheinland certification to confirm its safety. Charging tests in the Realme Lab revealed the phone heats up no more than 10 degrees C, and is able to withstand 1,600 charges from 0 to 100% while keeping 80% of its capacity – that’s over four years of typical usage.
The phone measures 163.85×75.75×8.9 and weigh 199 grams. The phone is equipped with Stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, and Hi-Res Audio.
