POCO has officially started the first sale of its POCO X8 Pro series in India today. The lineup, which includes the POCO X8 Pro and POCO X8 Pro Max, was launched last week and is now available for purchase starting at 12 PM via Flipkart. The series starts at a price of ₹32,999, offering a range of configurations for buyers. Here’s a detailed look at the pricing, offers and specifications of the POCO X8 Pro series.
The POCO X8 Pro is priced at ₹32,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, ₹35,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model and ₹37,999 for the 12GB + 256GB Iron Man Edition.
Meanwhile, the POCO X8 Pro Max is available at ₹42,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant and ₹46,999 for another 12GB + 256GB model.
As part of the launch offers, buyers can avail an instant discount of ₹3,000 on all variants when making payments using HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, or SBI cards.
The POCO X8 Pro features a 6.69-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a resolution of 2756 x 1268 pixels. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and offers up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. Additional display features include Pro HDR display, Wet Touch display 2.0, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision certification. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage.
For photography, the device includes a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor (Sony IMX882) with Optical Image Stabilisation and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. On the front, it houses a 20MP camera with features like video teleprompter, time-lapse, and slow-motion selfies.
The POCO X8 Pro packs a 6,500mAh battery with support for 100W HyperCharge fast charging and up to 27W reverse charging. It also includes several AI-powered features such as Google Gemini, Circle to Search with Google AI Writing, AI Speech Recognition, AI Interpreter, AI Search, and AI Dynamic Wallpapers.
The POCO X8 Pro Max, being the top-end model in the series, comes with a larger 6.83-inch 1.5K ultra-bright AMOLED display with a resolution of 2772 x 1280 pixels. It also supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 3,500 nits peak brightness. Like the standard model, it features Pro HDR display, Wet Touch display 2.0, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
This model is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage.
In terms of cameras, the POCO X8 Pro Max offers the same camera setup as the standard model including a 50MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens on the rear, along with a 20MP front camera.
However, the key difference lies in the battery capacity. The POCO X8 Pro Max packs a massive 8,500mAh battery with support for 100W HyperCharge and up to 27W reverse charging. It also carries all the AI features available on the POCO X8 Pro.
