Google will be releasing three high-end smartphones this year, codenamed Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL.
As mentioned earlier, though the names are not confirmed yet, the trio of handsets will be its premium slab-style devices.
The Pixel 9 will succeed the Pixel 8, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL will succeed the Pixel 8 Pro.
The Pixel 9 Pro will carry almost the same specifications as the XL but in a smaller frame for a more compact version of the device.

The images further reveal some key hardware specifications through the AIDA64 app.
The Pixel 9 Pro XL, internally referred to as “Komodo,” will offer 16GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 6.73-inch display.

As for camera capabilities, the Pixel 9 Pro and Pro XL will both feature three 50MP lenses with 0.5x, 1x, and 5x zoom, whereas the Pixel 9—under its codename “Tokay”—will come with 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, much like the current Pixel 8 Pro, but will have dual cameras offering 0.5x and 1x zoom.

All three will feature a 120Hz refresh rate.
This new Pixel 9 series does without the edge-to-edge ‘visor’ look for the camera island seen on previous models in favor of a fully-flat frame.
Looking at the leaked images, this does make the devices appear more streamlined.
All three smartphones will be powered by Google’s Tensor G4 SoC.
The Pro models will support Ultra-Wideband technology, while the standard Pixel 9 will lack the feature.
