Lava International has introduced the new Lava Bold 2 5G smartphone in India. The device arrives as the successor to last year’s Lava Bold 5G. Here’s everything you need to know about the newly launched smartphone.
The Lava Bold 2 5G is priced at Rs. 12,999 in India for the lone 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. This pricing is part of a special launch offer that also includes bank-related discounts.
The smartphone will go on sale starting March 19 at 12 pm IST through Amazon. Lava has also announced that customers purchasing the device will receive free doorstep service.
It will be available in Feather White and Midnight Black colour options.
The Lava Bold 2 5G features a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display that supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It also carries an IP64 rating, providing resistance against dust and splashes. It measures 7.55mm in thickness.
Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 chipset, which offers a peak clock speed of up to 2.6GHz. Lava claims the smartphone scored more than 0.5 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark test. The handset comes with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. It is a dual-SIM smartphone that runs on Android 15. According to the company, the device offers a clean experience with no pre-installed bloatware or ads.
For photography, the Lava Bold 2 5G features a dual rear camera setup accompanied by an LED flash. The system includes a 50-megapixel primary camera that uses a Sony sensor, along with a secondary camera whose specifications have not been disclosed.
On the front, the smartphone is equipped with an 8-megapixel selfie camera placed within a hole-punch cutout on the display. This camera can be used for both selfies and video calls.
The device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 33W wired fast charging. For security, the smartphone includes an in-display fingerprint sensor.
