Mobile manufacturers also understand this opportunity and always have new product launches lined up for this time of the year. So, here’s a quick look at the phones launched in the last week of December 2022, which include the Vivo S16 series, Infinix Zero Ultra, and more.

Vivo S16 Series – Vivo S16, Vivo S16e and Vivo S16 Pro

Vivo unveiled three smartphones under the S16 Series in Chinese markets this week, which are speculated to enter the Indian smartphone market at some point probably with a different name. The three smartphones unveiled include the Vivo S16, Vivo S16e and Vivo S16 Pro.

Vivo S16 is sporting a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution, HDR10+, and up to 120Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, up to 12GB RAM, and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage among its base features.

S16 also comes with a triple-rear-camera camera setup including a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. Vivo has also packed a whooping 50MP sensor for selfies and video calls.

Supporting the specs is a 4,600mAh battery with 66W fast charging support, 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, and Android 13. Vivo S16 price would be somewhere around Rs 29,900.

Vivo S16 Pro and Vivo S16e

Vivo S16 Pro - Phones launched in December 2022

Barring a few changes here and there, Vivo S16 and Vivo S16 Pro are pretty much two similar devices. The display, processor, camera, battery and other basic features are the same in both devices. The Vivo S16e, however, sports a smaller 6.62-inch flat AMOLED display.

The base model of the Vivo S16 Pro price would start at around Rs 39,200. The Vivo S16e price starts at Rs 24,900

Samsung Galaxy A04

The Samsung Galaxy A04 is a budget smartphone with a 6.5-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution, MediaTek Helio P35, 4GB RAM, up to 128GB internal storage, dual camera setup and 5000mAh battery among its primary features. Samsung decided to pack a rear dual camera setup with a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 5MP selfie sensor for decent photography capabilities.

OneUI 4.1 custom skin built on top of Android 12, Galaxy A04 also gets 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS+GLONASS. Samsung Galaxy A04 price in India starts from Rs. 11,998.

Samsung Galaxy A04e

Samsung Galaxy A04e, on the other hand, is a much more conservative version of Galaxy A04. A 6.5-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Helio P35 chipset, 4GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, and 5,000mAh battery are some of the similar features between the newly launched handsets.

As for photography, Galaxy A04e is mediocre in comparison with its 13MP rear camera, a 2MP depth camera, and an LED flash. Available in two variants of single or dual SIM, Samsung Galaxy A04e price in India starts at Rs. 9,299.

Infinix Zero Ultra

Infinix Zero Ultra is turning out to be an Infinix star product in the market. With a 6.8-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, the MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor with 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with a 180W Thunder Charge, Zero Ultra is a premium capable smartphone.

The highlight is also the 200MP main camera with OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The smartphone also has a 32MP camera for selfies and video chats. For connectivity, this one has 5G support, Dual 4G VoLTE, and Android 12 with XOS 12 custom. Infinix Zero Ultra price starts at Rs 29,999.

Lava X3

Lava X3 - Phones launched in December 2022

Lava X3 is the perfect entry-level smartphone introduced by the brand with a decent set of features including a 6.5-inch HD+ display, MediaTek Helio A22 SoC, 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a 4,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging.

Considering the price range, Lava has packed an 8MP main sensor on the rear along with a secondary VGA sensor and a 5MP sensor for selfies and video calls. Running on Android 12 Go Edition, the Lava X3 price is currently Rs 6,999.
