However, a few days ago a petition was filed in the Delhi High Court seeking a few changes to be made in the movie before its theatrical release. In reply to the petition, the counsel representing producer Yash Raj Films in the court accidentally revealed April 25th, 2023, to be Pathaan’s OTT release date.

There has been no confirmation from Amazon Prime Video or YRF with regard to the Pathaan OTT release, but we can assume it’ll be on or around April 25th 2023. Pathaan Court Case Leads To OTT Release Date Reveal

A petition was filed in the Delhi High Court demanding the Pathaan filmmakers to incorporate subtitles, close captioning, and audio descriptions in Hindi to the movie before its theatrical release in order to make the movie accessible for visually and hearing impaired people.

Consequentially, as a reply to the said petition, the counsel for Yash Raj Films presented the argument that it would be very difficult to incorporate those changes to the movie at such short notice when the theatrical release of the movie is due in less than a week.

Hence, the Delhi High Court then directed the filmmakers to make the said changes in the OTT version of the movie and it was in reply to this very direction by the Hon’ble court that the Yash Raj Films counsel inadvertently mentioned that Pathaan will release on the OTT platform on April 25th, 2023 i.e., three months after its theatrical release.
